Spell checker of Chrome in Italian, English and other languages

Google Chrome has a great feature inside, the spelling check of what you write on any box, sheet or text box that is found on the internet .
This is really convenient both in online Office applications, both for writing Email, and for writing on your blog, on a forum or on Facebook.
The only problem is that, in the recent Chrome 47 update of December 2015, it removed the possibility of changing the language of the spelling checker, making the corrector a little less precise (in Chrome 50 the menu of choice of the spell check by pressing the right mouse button)
Let's go in order and see first how to activate the spell checker in Google Chrome .
To find the Chrome language settings there are two ways: one by opening the general Chrome settings (pressing the tsto with three lines at the top right) and then, expanding the advanced settings, clicking on the " Language and input settings " button.
Even more quickly, you can open these language settings by right-clicking on a manually written word (for example while composing a new Mail) and finding the relative option.
In the language settings you should find that Italian is Chrome's default language.
By selecting Italian, you can activate the spelling checker for this language .
If you want to add another language, for example English, select it and again press the " Use this language for spell check " button.
The dictionary of that language is downloaded from Chrome and you can get spell checking in real time.
With this mode, you can add as many languages as you want to Chrome and get an auto-corrector in each of them.
By going to write in an email or on Facebook, you can try typing a word incorrectly in English, for example wat to see it underlined in red.
By pressing on it with the right button you have the possibility to get suggestions from Google to correct that word and the option to add it to the dictionary so that Chrome no longer sees it as wrong.
After the recent Chrome 47 update, the spell check is done automatically by looking at all the added languages, without requiring the user to manually indicate (with an option) the language in which he is writing.
Some problems could arise for those who need to write in several similar languages such as Italian and Spanish, so maybe the corrector of Chrome can mark as correct a word in Italian that when written incorrectly becomes a Spanish word (for example paso instead of step ).
However spell checking in Chrome is very efficient and is really useful for those who write often on web applications and websites.
To conclude, it is worth noting that by activating the spelling checker in Chrome, Google is granted permission to read what we write.
If this is a privacy issue, you can disable Chrome's spelling checker for all languages added from the language settings menu and, in the privacy settings, uncheck the " Use a web service to correct spelling errors " option. .
