The apps were a real flop for Windows 8, for at least two reasons. First because those who use the PC are used to normal programs and do not see the need to install applications similar to those of the mobile phone.
Second reason is that Microsoft has managed its store very badly, leaving it uncontrolled and allowing the publication of fake, poor and malfunctioning apps.
With Windows 10, the store has been redesigned, becoming easier to use and navigate, with greater control.
Apps, compared to traditional programs, have certain non-trivial and not to be overlooked advantages .
Meanwhile, they update automatically through the Windows Store and do not require any manual intervention, then integrate with the system and can share information with each other, as also happens on an iPhone.
In Windows 10 then the apps are not necessarily full screen and can be resized in windows like any other program (this has always been a serious limitation in Windows 8).
