Transfer files in wifi from mobile to pc in FTP

To manage a smartphone with Android system (at least version 2.1) of any brand (HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung etc.) there are some very useful and functional free programs that I have already talked about.
The two programs reported and explained in the guide on how to manage an Android mobile phone from the PC (in wifi or USB) to transfer files, address book, SMS and applications require you to install both the application on the phone and a program on the computer.
Limited to the transfer of files and therefore also of photos and videos shot with the camera and mp3 music to be heard using the mobile phone as if it were an iPod, you can use a much simpler and faster system, without installing additional programs, which works on any computer, Linux, Mac and Windows.
From your computer with Wifi connectivity you can transfer files from your mobile phone to your PC and vice versa from your PC to your mobile phone via Wireless using FTP .
The word FTP should not scare away the less computer savvy because it is nothing more than the data transfer protocol used by computers.
On the Android mobile phone, FTP transfer can be canceled by installing the free FTPDroid application, an FTP client that allows you to transfer files and folders from your mobile phone to your computer or vice versa .
The big advantage of using this client is that no USB cable is required and that there is no need to perform complicated network configurations by changing IP addresses or various parameters.
FTPDroid is in Italian, fast, responsive, configurable, extremely secure, with the possibility of anonymous access and allows you to transfer many files together and share folders on the phone so that you can also see them on your computer .
Basically you enable an FTP Server on your Android phone which can be enabled / disabled as and when you want.
After downloading the application, you must first go to the Options menu and put the selection where " Enable anonymous access " is written.
In the options, the home path of the memory card data (the one where photos, images, sounds, music, videos etc.) should be already configured, which is / mnt / sdcard .
Also check that the " create directory from anonymous ", " upload from anonymous " and Chroot users options are enabled.
Also enable the screen lock to keep the screen active while connected to the computer and the " Locca Wifi " option to keep the wifi connection always active when FTPDroid is running.
Returning to the main screen, press the menu and Activate the FTP server .
Given that there must be an internal wireless network to which the computer is connected with a router (it can also be done without a router and we see it at the end), FTPDRoid automatically recognizes the network to connect to and provides the IP address of the Android smartphone.
On the computer, to establish the connection and see the files inside the mobile phone, it is better to use any of the FTP client programs for Windows (or for Linux or for Mac).
Among the best computer FTP clients are Cyberduck (Win-Mac) and FileZilla (open source for all platforms).
Personally I have chosen CyberDuck which must be downloaded and installed.
From CyberDuck, press the " New connection " button and write, where Server Name is written, the IP address indicated by FTPDroid on the main screen.
Put the cross at the anonymous login, press the Link button and see the files and folders of the mobile phone starting from the home set in FTPDroid, ie the memory card.
The file window is like the explorer of Windows so to make the transfers just select the files and drag them with the mouse with Drag And Drop, from Windows (or Linux or Mac) to the mobile phone and vice versa as you would do with the files Of computer.
The folder with photos, videos and music on the SD card should be the DCIM
The usability of FTPDroid is complete, without cables and without limitations and is the only application of the Android Market that allows you to remotely access both the internal directories and the folders of the SD card.
It is possible to authorize and remove specific users with name and password with more limited permissions.
For optimal security anonymous access should be disabled, however if you use it on your home network there are no problems.
If you connect to the internet via cable but the computer also has Wifi connectivity, you can still transfer files from your computer to your mobile phone and vice versa by configuring a virtual router on Windows 7 or by sharing the internet in Wifi.
An even better way to manage your Android phone via web browser from your computer, without installing clients or programs and on any pc.
If you need FTP, you can also manage an Android device from PC with ES File Manager
