Create customized maps to give directions or tour guides for a trip

When organizing a trip, whether it is for work or for a holiday abroad, the main thing you need to easily have all the information you need to plan and better optimize your time spent in the place to visit is always a tour guide.
Online tourist guides, surfing the internet, if you find many, the same Google Earth provides, for any place, the comment of other users, photos and tourist details.
The limit of tools like Google Earth is that it becomes impractical in case you want to save and print the map to make it a real guide.
1) Creating Maps with Google Maps is easy, intuitive and extremely useful, especially because you can create a map in collaboration with other people.
2) Here Maps Creator, in Italian, allows you to create an itinerary on the map, writing the various stages of the journey.
3) On the Tripwolf site, in the Italian section, there is a convenient search box that says: "Where do you want to go"> By writing the desired travel destination, on the next page, you can download the personalized guide for that place, in format PDF that is immediately sent to your email address to be printed and modified as you wish.
4) There is instead a beautiful website, Here Map Creator, which provides over 200 tourist maps which, not only, can be consulted directly online (see for example New York) also via mobile phone or iPhone, but which can also be download them for free on your PC so that you can consult them at any time even when you do not have internet access.
Schmap offers Maps and Guides with dynamic and interactive contents, giving the possibility to access a multitude of information, reviews and photo slideshows, to navigate a city neighborhood by neighborhood following personal interests.

In this way you can access all the countless information, being able to view virtual Tours (even if for Virtual Tours online it is much better, only for Italy, Visual Yellow Pages), as well as saving and printing information sheets of specific itineraries, places or attractions.
With Schmap you can also create and publish your own personalized travel guide to share with other users, or even add a map to your website or blog.
5) MAPme is a very similar site, a Web 2.0 style project that allows you to create customized maps.
Once created, they can be changed as you like and shared with other users registered on the site.
Guided Tours can thus be created and the people who visit them will be able to give their opinions on the matter, exchanging their knowledge and, why not, socializing in this social mapping service.
6) MapTive is an excellent free site for creating custom maps.
In other sites you can download travel guides for the whole world or you can create maps of tourist itineraries and guided tours.
