After the stories on Facebook, here is the state on Whatsapp, a new function that allows everyone to publish a news about themselves or a photo or video that will be visible by friends only for 24 hours . The status of Whatsapp, which was previously only a secondary function accessible from the settings, now appears (for everyone) on the main screen of the phone (with the latest version of Whatsapp) as a new tab between chat and calls (on iPhone it is a button at the bottom).
The status can also be updated by touching the camera button on the left side or the pencil button if you only want to write a colored message, on the Whatsapp application for Android smartphones (Samsung Huawei and others), for Windows Phone and for iPhone while it is not possible, for now, to add it from the Whatsapp web site.
The status in Whatsapp is different from the profile image and lasts for 24 hours, after which it will no longer be visible to anyone.

The meaning of updating the status of Whatsapp, as Facebook has taught us, is to communicate on social networks what we are doing or what we are thinking. Whatsapp is both a state to be written and a state made of images, photos and videos, with a feature that has been copied from another app, the Snapchat one that young people like so much, especially in the USA.
You can then simply write a colored text to say " hello to everyone ", or you can take one or more photographs or even record a video and then customize it with the addition of figures, smileys and text. Above the photos and above the video can be added, after shooting or after recording, colored writings or funny faces and figures or even draw over the photo. Letters and smilies can be moved over the photos with your finger, resized with two fingers or turned as you wish. If you want to make a short video, you can hold down on the center shutter button and release to stop recording. If you want to add more images to the state, you can do it by taking more photos to create a story.
To each state with photos you can also add a caption, which appears at the bottom. Theoretically, you could also publish a black image with only the caption or with an inscription on it, if you do not necessarily want to publish an image. In the end, however, the status can be shared with everyone, only with friends or made visible only to a selected friend, as a private message after 24 hours. To decide the privacy of the status of Whatsapp, in the Status tab, press the top button of the options (the one with three dots on Android) to open the privacy options of the status.
Stories published by friends or shared with us will always be visible on the state card. As you can see from the first visible story, that of Whatsapp which explains how to use the Status function, the photos of the story scroll by themselves unless you touch the screen to stop the slideshow. Each of our states can be opened to see how many people have viewed it and also to cancel it before 24 hours.
PS The Status tab on Android has replaced that of the contacts which can now be visible by touching the button of the new message at the top.
