By reducing the size of the files you want to upload online to Dropbox or other storage services, you save space and take less time to upload. If you want to send a set of images or documents and decrease the size of these files, you save time and facilitate the reception and download for the recipient.
If you manage a site or blog, it is always better to upload optimized images with a smaller size.
