Stop using Internet Explorer, now abandoned by Microsoft

After the release of Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, the time has come to take stock of the situation on Internet Explorer, the historic Microsoft browser that is about to end its long and inglorious life.
In fact, Microsoft has ended support for old versions of Internet Explorer on each Windows operating system by continuing to release security updates only for the latest available.
Terminating support means that Internet Explorer has been abandoned by Microsoft and security patches will no longer be released to cover bugs and vulnerabilities that make the browser easy prey for viruses and malicious websites.
Furthermore, as was already obvious for some time, a new version of Internet Explorer will no longer be released which, over time, will end up becoming antiquated compared to other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox which instead, continue to update monthly.
Someone could say: but who uses it more Internet Explorer "> If you still use XP, you don't have to use Internet Explorer which is stopped at version 8 (But Internet Explorer 8 is still used by 10% of the world users.
- On Windows Vista the latest version is Internet Explorer 9 which will be supported again until Vista support ends, which will end in 2017.
- Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 versions will not be supported on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 8 .
If you want to use this browser you need to download Internet Explorer 11, the latest definitive version which is still present, even if hidden, even in Windows 10 .
Older versions of Internet Explorer on these operating systems will not receive security updates or technical support from January 12, 2016 .
Those who use the old versions will see a message from Microsoft to remind them to update to Internet Explorer 11.
This message can however be deactivated as explained in the guide on the official website.
At the end of the speech, I recommend everyone to stop using Internet Explorer and now switch to a more modern browser such as Chrome or Firefox or even, in Windows 10 to Microsoft Edge.
