If notifications are delayed, disable Android battery optimization

On some Android smartphones it is possible that there is a problem with receiving notifications that seem to arrive late .
It may happen that the phone goes to sleep and remains idle until you pick it up by turning on the screen.
Only then does the system wake up and display notifications on messages received from Whatsapp, via Email, via SMS or other warnings.
This type of behavior has been found on Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel 2, Huawei and Honor smartphones and also on other models of phones, especially with the Android 8.0 Oreo system.
If any application displays late notifications, the fault, unless specific bugs of the application itself, is the Android battery optimization function, which in fact hibernates the applications when the phone screen is off for a certain period.
The power saving feature can therefore cause delays in an app's push notifications because it stops syncing after a certain period of time and effectively suspends apps that haven't been used for a while.
While there is no way to disable the app hibernation feature and Android's energy savings, there is however a way to limit it by creating exceptions for the apps we use most.
Among the applications that must ignore battery optimization there must certainly be those that receive messages such as Whatsapp and Messenger and then also those of widgets.
The problem is that you have to dig deep enough in the phone settings to find the most advanced energy saving options, which can be in different areas depending on the smartphone used.
The standard way to disable battery optimization on Android phones is as follows:
Open Settings, go to the " Battery " section, then tap the three-dot menu button at the top of the screen and press " Battery optimization ".
The following screen will display a list of apps that have already been excluded from battery optimization.
To exclude another app, tap the drop-down menu at the top of the screen and select " All apps ".
From the list of all the apps, touch the ones that you want to exclude from energy saving and then select the " do not optimize " option.
Delayed notification issues for those apps should now be resolved.
The battery optimization option, as mentioned above, may be positioned differently depending on the phone.
On Samsung Galaxy it is found by going to Settings> Apps .
From here tap on the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen, select " Special access " and then " Optimize battery use ".
Then tap the word " Apps not optimized ", just below the title of the card, to open a drop-down menu where you can select " All apps ". From here, find the apps that have encountered problems with delayed push notifications, and disable the option next to them.
Disabling battery optimization for these apps will ensure that they can run in the background all the time to receive push notifications in real time and no longer late.
On Huawei and Honor phones, the option to disable battery optimization for some applications is found in Settings> Apps and notifications> Apps .
From the list of applications, press the settings button at the bottom, then on Special Access and then on Ignore battery optimizations .
Then press sula written allowed to see all the apps and to be able to identify the ones we want to ignore the battery optimization and never go into standby.
