Update: Download Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 in Italian Today is the day of Internet Explorer 10 release which, finally, can also be downloaded and installed on Windows 7 .
As many will know, Internet Explorer 10 is the latest version of the Microsoft web browser, predefined in Windows 8 and, today, also available for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
It is a completely redesigned browser that will bring better website performance, developer functionality and full support for all web standards.
IE10 does not work on Windows XP and Vista but only on Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 installed.
Internet Explorer 10 is available in different languages, including Italian, and requires a computer that has at least 512 MB of RAM and 1 Ghz processor, with a different version for 32bit and 64bit computers .
Internet Explorer 10 can be downloaded directly from the IE10 download Microsoft site page by scrolling through the list of languages and selecting the compatible version.
After downloading the IE10-Windows6.1-x86-it-it file (if you have chosen the 32bit version for Windows 7), continue the download with an online installation that requires internet connection.
After installation, a restart of the computer is required.
IE10 replaces IE9 on Windows 7.
As main novelties there are:
- the Flash Player is not installed natively in Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7.
If you want to watch videos on Youtube or other Flash content you need to install the Adobe Flash Player plugin to do it.
- User privacy is protected by the "do not keep track" function and is activated by default.
- The navigation bar can be used to search the internet.
- There is full compatibility with websites designed for older browsers.
- Some Internet Explorer security settings such as the SmartScreen filter have been improved in the new Internet Explorer 10 version.
- Developer tools accessible from the options menu have been added.
Otherwise, everything looks identical to IE9.
