If Internet Explorer does not remember the passwords for accessing the sites

Those who use Internet Explorer 9 or even the new IE10 version can run into an annoying problem: The Microsoft browser does not remember the passwords for accessing a site, forcing the user to have to write it every time.
The problem can be of two types: Internet Explorer asks to save the password, but then does not remember it or, simply, no longer asks to save or remember the password and login to a site.
For security reasons, in reality, it would not be a good idea to automatically log in with passwords stored in the browser, but if you are using a private computer, at home, which is not used by other people, then it can also be done (especially with Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 which is much more secure).
Otherwise, I recommend using a password manager like LastPass .
Let's see how to solve the problem on Internet Explorer 9 and 10 that you do not remember the login passwords to websites such as Facebook, Gmail or Twitter, which must therefore be written every time, without autocompletion
Method 1 : Check the IE settings
Internet Explorer is a good browser but often becomes the primary target of adware, malware and viruses that change its settings.
Furthermore, if the No was clicked on the question whether to save the password entered on a site, the possibility of changing this option may no longer return.
Launch IE, click on the gear icon at the top right, select Internet Options, go to the Content section and then click on the Settings button under the AutoComplete entry.
Make sure that the user names and passwords entries on the forms are selected and Request me save password confirmation and click OK.
For confirmation you can go to this page and click on the Autocomplete test Page.
Note that in Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8 the stored passwords are no longer saved in the registry keys as happens in other systems, but you can press the " Password Management " key to enter the Credentials section in the Control Panel and where they are visible unencrypted saved passwords.
Method 2 : Start Internet Explorer without add-ons
There are times when a specific add-on is causing the IE to malfunction, including the error of saving passwords.
Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons) .
If the Save password option works, it means that one of the add-ons is causing the problem.
You can then proceed to exclusion and activate the add-ons one by one until you understand what is the cause of the problem.
If not, go to the third attempt.
Method 3: Reset Internet Explorer
You can easily reset IE from the advanced tab in the Internet options by clicking on the Reset button.
Confirm by placing the cross where it is written to also delete personal settings.
Alternatively, you can also proceed with an automatic Fix It that resets Internet Explorer as it should be after the first installation.

Method 4 : For Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 Microsoft has published a fix it to solve the IE error that does not save the credentials to access the websites.
Download and apply the fix-it and everything should be fine.
Finally, in some cases it is not possible to memorize passwords to access a site automatically.
It can therefore happen that a site has disabled automatic completion using a special attribute (which happens for banking sites), on web pages that use Javascript to write credentials and logins.
