Windows Phone 8 can be tested on a Windows PC with an emulator to be installed on the Windows PC .
Windows Phone 8 is very different than the iPhone and Android systems and shows a Metro graphic interface, made with fat interactive buttons that launch the applications.
To install the Windows Phone 8 emulator and try using a standard mobile phone from your PC, you need to download the Windows Phone emulator developer program.

The guide to activate Hyper V is in this article.

You can see all the information on Windows Phone 8 by browsing with the browser on the site www.windowsphone.com .
The demonstration shows the Metro interface and allows you to experience the basic functionality of the operating system.
