Try glasses and frames online, on a photo or via webcam, before buying

When commercial companies use web applications to advertise themselves or to virtually test the service they sell, they become very effective in my opinion. There are several examples of interactive corporate sites, they are almost all American and, for the most part, they use animated web technology to entertain their site visitors with a game.
In other cases, however, especially when dealing with wearable products, they allow, through simple web applications, to choose, for example, clothes and to be able to make combinations and photomontages to try them out virtually .
In a post we talked about how to wear clothes online and try them as if you were in a virtual shop, in this case instead of glasses or, better, of frames of glasses that can then be alone or prescription can be worn and tried online.
There are several sites to try on glasses and choose the suitable frame from all the available models and from different brands .
1) FrameFinder is, in fact, an online store where you can buy a pair of glasses. Being the eyewear a product that you cannot choose if you do not try it on yourself, FrameFinder provides a powerful photomontage web application in which, by loading the frontal photograph of your face, you can superimpose a pair of glasses on top .
On the site there is a Demo where you can see all the glasses you can try but on the photo of a guy. By registering on the site for free, however, you can upload the photo of your face and see yourself as if you were in front of an optical store, in front of the mirror.
The photograph must be large, at least 700 pixels wide (Irfanview can be used to resize an image quickly), frontal, bright and, of course, without glasses on.
After uploading it to the site you can correct the photo so that the eyes are in the center of the image.
The glasses that you can try are many and of all brands : Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Luxottica, Rayban, Vogue, Oakley and all the others.
For each brand there are different models and different frame colors.
In the end the glasses could also be bought from there, but being in the United States I have no idea how much it would be better.
2) The absolute best way to try on glasses and frames on a computer is certainly to see yourself in 3 dimensions, to actually mirror yourself with your face.
Ditto is a beautiful website, simple, immediate and truly avant-garde.
It does not require any registration and just press the Demo button to start the test. The web application requires a webcam and wants to record face and head movements for a brief automatic configuration. After following the instructions on the screen, you can start testing the glasses virtually, seeing how they are not only frontally but also in profile and in movements. Your image can be viewed in 3D and can be rotated 180 degrees with a splendid graphic effect.
3) Nowave, an Italian shop specializing in computer glasses, is a site that allows you to try on glasses virtually before buying them. Not only for each pair of glasses in the catalog is it possible to test via webcam, but also using one's own photograph.
4) Vision Ottica offers an online tool to try different frames of glasses, which works via webcam. The web application works really well and allows anyone to virtually simulate wearing a pair of glasses that are applied to the face. In this case it is augmented reality where 3D digital elements are mixed over real elements that come from a photograph or video.
5) Another great site to try glasses on a photo of your face is Warby Parker . The site is actually a virtual shop on which to upload (upload) your photo and then try the various glasses that the shop offers, with variable styles and colors, on the online tool Virtual Try On. Even if the proposal is commercial, this application web is free and usable without registration. To use it you must first choose the pair of sunglasses, sunglasses or prescription glasses, from the online store for women or men. Then, after clicking on a mount, you can press the Virtual Try on link on the right side of the tab.
6) PD Self Test is a web application to calculate the pupillary distance or the distance between the eyes on the face. You have to upload a photo or use the webcam and then try the glasses virtually online.
If you want a more playful site in which to make photomontages of yourself or friends, by mounting glasses, hats, beards and other things on your face, you can look at another category of sites.
In another article, similar to this, there were also the effects on the photos to remake the boobs, the nose or to look thinner.
