Program to write the notes of a song on the computer and hear it as it is composed

On this page dedicated to musicians we see perhaps one of the best programs for writing music on the computer .
Given that I am not a musician, I still wanted to try this software called Forte Notation, which seemed very powerful, simple to use and valid for composing a song by writing the notes.
This time, therefore, we move away from those types of DJ programs to create and mix music or websites to make music online that everyone can use, even those who do not know anything about music theory.
Since then I know that professional music programs are quite expensive, those who are looking for something professionally but for free, should try the Free version of Forte Notation, whatever the musical genre and the instrument used.

Forte Free is a GUI program that allows you to write musical notes, without having to specify them with the keyboard but simply using the mouse.
It shows an empty musical score, to be filled with notes and chords.
While composing the music, you can also listen to it note by note thanks to the internal Midi synthesizer.
The graphical interface, in English, is quite intuitive and, I think, both professionals and amateurs who know music theory, will not struggle to orient themselves in the use of the program.
To begin with, you can see the score, a window (Music Palette) below which contains all the elements that can be added (the various types of notes and chord symbols) and a third to configure the graphic layout.
Writing music with Forte, it is therefore possible to see how the chords are guided by the program, how it is possible to listen to what was composed immediately, how one can record one's composition and print the score and how one can even use the software to modify MIDI files .
I am sure that music students and even professionals will find this program a marvel (you will confirm me or not).
The free version clearly lacks several features but is absolutely usable without time limits and without licensing problems.
The Forte Notation Standard version costs about $ 200 but can be tried for free for 30 days and represents a complete suite for advanced users and expert musicians.
There is also a Forte Light version which costs 50 USD.
Also on the developer's website you can download a tutorial called " Forte in 10 Minuti " which acts as a guide to teach you to write music on your computer without difficulty and without wasting time in having to learn the technical functioning of the application.
Too bad that there is no Italian version otherwise it would have been really the top.
Both Forte Notation Free and the full version work on all Windows computers.
Just to give an alternative, I can point out another program dedicated to those who write music and chew it well with which it is possible to write the notes of a composition on musical scores and electronic sheets .
Musescore is an opensource program, therefore free, compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac, in Italian .
It is a real music text editor for inserting notes into a spreadsheet.
For instructions to the program, however quite intuitive and simple, I refer to the manual in Italian while among the main functions we can see a simple graphical interface for entering notes, an unlimited number of staves and the presence of a midi synthesizer with which to play the notes and verify the correctness of what you are writing.
Finally, I remember that you can another article that talks about how to compose music online, download scores and write notes on your PC and online lessons to learn how to play the piano.
