Customize the Microsoft Edge home tab or turn off news

Those who use Edge may have noticed that every time it opens, a news screen appears from the aggregator of the MSN.com site.
Anyone who knows this site (from Microsoft) knows that it is mostly low-relevance news, especially sports, gossip, costumes and news, often accompanied by click-catching photos.
Fortunately, you can disable this news card or customize it by choosing which type of news to display, to avoid having to read nonsense that does not interest us in the least.
To customize the news that appears on Edge, you can click the gear wheel located above the weather panel, on the right of the page, under the search bar.
Pressing that button you access a simple configuration screen where you can activate or deactivate the Weather, Sport and Money tabs and where you can select the topics that interest us, including Sport, News, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Money and Motors.
Once you have made your choices, you can press the Save button.
To disable this News section in the Microsoft Edge browser, you must instead enter the Settings.
Then press the button at the top right with three dots, go to Settings and find the two options " Open Microsoft Edge with and Open new tabs with .
To hide the news section, you can choose to open Edge with the new Tab page (not Home page ) and then, in the second option, choose Empty tab or only " Main sites " (not therefore recommended sites and contents ).
Unfortunately, in Edge you still cannot customize the initial tab in a different way than the default options as it does with Chrome.
Maybe though, in a short time it will be possible, since you can now install the extensions on Microsoft Edge .
