Offers for surfing with Fastweb at home

If we are interested in the rates that Fastweb provides to have internet at home or in the office, we are in the right guide! Fastweb is the second largest Italian broadband and internet provider, which, as the name also says, would like to be the one with the fastest connection.
We find in this guide the types of connection that Fastweb can offer for its customers, the offers that can be subscribed if we want a home subscription and the offers that can be subscribed if we have a VAT number (therefore a shop, a professional activity or a company ).

1) Capacity of the Fastweb line
Fastweb has three different types of internet connection, provided based on the city in which we live and the address provided during registration:
- ADSL : the standard connection, with speeds varying according to the area and the number of users connected (it is usually the slowest, except on rare occasions we will hardly have more than 10 Mega in download);
- FTTS : the fastest ADSL connection that maintains the convenience of using the same socket (you don't have to change anything in the wall socket).
With this technology the achievable speeds are very high (up to 200 Mega), but much depends on whether the Fastweb proprietary network is used (more stable) or the TIM network rented by Fastweb (in this case we talk about connection VULA, with high speeds but repair of TIM faults).
- FTTH : the fastest connection that Fastweb can offer, with a top speed of 1000 Mega (1 Gigabit) in download.
Need to change taken in the house and interventions to bring the fiber optic cable into the apartment, so it is currently the most difficult to obtain (it depends on the city). It is often also identified as GPON, from the name of the technology used to distribute the proprietary optical fiber (different from that of TIM or any other company).
As already written, when you go to check the ADSL coverage with Fastweb, to see if it is possible to buy their subscription, it may be that you receive a different different message depending on the connection that you can take advantage of: if they offer you up to 20 mega is ADSL, if they offer you up to 100 or 200 Mega it is FTTS while if they offer you the 1000 Mega it is FTTH .
2) Offers for the home
The Fastweb offer to have internet at home in optical fiber is Fastweb Casa : offer to be able to surf at the maximum speed available without a landline phone at a cost of € 24.95 per month (if there is a promotion) otherwise € 35. Activation fee, modem and Ultrafibra are included in the price. Telephone calls are also unlimited to national landlines and mobile phones.
It is also possible to subscribe a Fastweb subscription together with a discounted subscription to Eni Energia (gas and electricity) in a single package
3) Offers for those with VAT numbers
Those who have a VAT number can subscribe to Fastweb with the following rates:
- Internet Business : unlimited internet and Fastgate modem included for only € 30 per month (25 in promotion), with activation fee of € 6 per month for 48 months and modem included;
- Business Class : with this offer we will have unlimited Internet up to 1Gbit / s, unlimited calls to national fixed and mobile numbers and 1000 minutes of international calls for only € 35 per month (30 in promotion), with € 6 per month of activation cost for 48 months.
A combined offer with Business Class + Energy is also available for users with VAT number: unlimited Internet up to 1 Gigabit / s, unlimited national calls to landline and mobile, 1000 minutes of international calls + Eni gas and electricity with FastEnergy Business of Eni gas and electricity for only € 25 per month (plus Eni rate chosen) for the first year, then € 35 per month, which in promotion can be found at 30 Euros, plus Eni rate chosen.
One year of free Amazon Prime and a digital service of your choice are included, but in this case the activation costs are to be paid separately (€ 4.95 for 48 months).
4) Conclusions
As you can see by doing the internet speed test, even looking at the tables of the SOSTariffe site, Fastweb has among the best rates when it comes to households with fixed, clear costs and without any surprise (there is no constraint or cheating, since the costs are all clear and immediately shown to all customers). The offers for companies are even more interesting, since it is possible with an acceptable sum to have fast and fast Internet in your business.
The only thing to consider when subscribing to a Fastweb subscription is to check the type of connection with which we will be connected to Fastweb from home or in the company: if they offer you an ADSL, expect very low or in any case unsatisfactory speeds. If you are lucky and have access to FTTS, VULA or FTTH (GPON) you can subscribe to the subscription in complete peace of mind, since the quality of these connections is very high as well as the speeds that can be achieved.
