Photos become paintings with artistic effects on Android and iPhone

Already very popular with iPhone users, the Prisma app, the one capable of transforming photos into works of art, using automatic image processing has now also come out on Android .
Basically, each photo can become artistic and be modified using Prisma which creates an image with a predefined artistic style such as that of Mondrian, that of Chagal, that of Picasso, Van Gogh, Lichtenstein, Monet, Kandinsky, Hokusai, of comics, manga or Japanese cartoons and other currents of modern design.
The application is very similar to Instagram and just select the photos from the phone or take one from the app itself to be able to process it by choosing the effect.
Compared to other similar apps, Prisma specializes in transforming photos into modern art paintings .

Then download the Prisma app, free, for Android and for iPhone, open it and take a photo or select it by tapping the gallery button at the bottom right.
The photo to be transformed can first be rotated and cropped by moving it to the right or left and zooming to modify only an interested area.
Go ahead to enter the heart of the application: the choice of the artistic filter to be applied to the image.
At the bottom you can scroll through the various effects, touch them to apply them and view, after a short wait, the photo transformed into a picture.
When you open the processed photo, you can slide your finger on the image left and right to increase or decrease the intensity of the filter.
Sometimes the result is better by slightly decreasing the artistic effect which, by default, is always always 100%.
To use Prisma in the best way, however, it is better not to take photos with the integrated camera that lacks many options such as HDR, night mode, white balance correction.
Better then to take photos using the default app or one of the best camera apps for Android and iPhone and then process the shots with Prisma.
In the application settings, accessible by pressing the gear button on the main screen, the watermark must be deactivated, that is the Prisma symbol, which appears a bit large on the processed photos.
Always from here you can activate the automatic saving of the paintings, that is the photos processed.
Photos will be saved to the Prisma folder as soon as a filter is applied.
In this way it becomes possible to apply two or more filters one above the other, processing the images several times and going to create something original and unique.
Since the app is particularly strong with selfies, I recommend using other apps to take perfect selfies or to elaborate photos already edited with MSQRD, the app that swaps faces and transvestites.
In addition to Prisma, there are also other apps to turn photos into paintings, drawings and works of art .
Among these we can mention:
- Photo Lab (Android and iPhone), a very powerful photo editing and photo montage app, which also has many artistic filters for transforming designs.
- Be Funky, Android and iPhone the best app for turning photos into cartoons.
- PicsArt (Android and iPhone) which among its many photo editing functions, also has artistic filters.
- Pikazo, an app for iPhone and Android that, like Prisma, turns photos into paintings.
