Apps that should never be missing on a phone

When you turn on a new phone, be it an iPhone, a Windows smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy or any Android phone, everything seems already configured to use it in its basic functions: Calls, SMS, internet, Email.
To increase its functions and make the most of it, there are thousands of applications to choose from on the phone store, i.e. on the Apple Store for iPhone, on Google Play for Android phones (although some smartphone brands such as Samsung have their own parallel store practically identical to Google Play), Windows Store for Microsoft and Lumia (ex Nokia) smartphones.
Among these thousands of applications, which it is obviously not possible to install all of them, there are some more important than the others, which must be immediately put into any type of phone, also because they are free and available for each platform .
1) Whatsapp
This app, which needs no introduction, can never be missing on a smartphone of any kind, because everyone has it now and is a standard for messaging with friends.
Even if you change your phone, all you need is the old SIM card inside to find the conversations and contacts.
1 Bis) In addition to Whatsapp, you should also put the Telegram app, which is very smiley, but has additional non-negligible functions.
We have seen, in another article, everything Telegram does that does not Whatsapp.
2) Facebook Messenger
If you are a Facebook subscriber, you shouldn't miss Facebook Messenger to receive and send messages with your Facebook friends.
Conversely, the main Facebook app, which is the most installed in the world, may also be missing on the mobile phone.
Facebook has a very heavy app that consumes battery and takes up a lot of memory.
You could therefore do without it and use Facebook from the website with Chrome.
3) Google Photos
The Google Photos app was the big new entry of 2015, which really became one of the most useful apps for each phone, for its ability to store online, on an unlimited free space, all the photos taken with the phone.
In this way not only will there be no more space problems in the internal memory, but you can also rest assured that the photos will remain saved even if the phone is lost, stolen or replaced with another.
4) VLC
On smartphones there is always a decent app to watch videos, even on iPhones.
Even if you won't often see movies on a mobile phone, it's always best to install an app like VLC that can play any format or movie or video file.
5) PushBullet
The Pushbullet app connects the phone with the computer, very useful for receiving cell phone notifications on the PC.
The Android version works with Windows and Mac PCs while the iPhone version works, unfortunately, only with Macs.
6) Waze
An application that acts as a GPS navigator is always installed on each smartphone.
Google Maps is certainly the best of its kind, especially now that it can also be used without an internet connection.
The Waze app is an app that works as a GPS navigator that must not be missed by those who often go by car, because, as explained in another article, Waze always gives the shortest way and with the least traffic to get to a place first .
7) SwiftKey
On Android smartphones and iPhones, the keyboard that appears on the screen every time you write something can be changed with an alternative app.
While on the iPhone (SwiftKey is also available for iOS) there is no need to change it, on most Android mobile phones the keyboard app is much lower than SwiftKey, capable of suggesting the words to be written and self- complete them automatically.
8) Google Drive
Google Drive is an app that provides cloud storage where you can save files online so as not to occupy them in memory space and to be able to find them on your computer at any time.
There are several apps like Google Drive, including Dropbox, Onedrive (already installed and mandatory on Windows Phone) and also Apple's iCloud.
Google Drive, however, does more than similar apps, because it also works as a PDF reader and a substitute for the Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint programs (which are present in the original version on Windows Phone) to create and open spreadsheet documents and presentations.
Google Drive is also capable of digitizing paper documents like a scanner, using the mobile phone camera.
9) Chrome
On iPhone the main browser is Safari while on Android smartphones you may already find Chrome or an alternative browser.
The Chrome browser, in addition to having many more functions than the others, is an app that must not be missing on Android phones and not even on iPhone, if you use a Windows PC with Chrome at home or in the office.
In fact, its most important function is to keep your favorite sites, passwords and web account logins synchronized with your Google account.
If instead you have a Mac as a computer and you are not using Windows, Safari synchronization is automatic and Chrome is not needed.
10) VSCO Cam / Snapseed (Android / iPhone).
These two can be considered the best applications currently available for photo editing and to add filters to photos that make them more beautiful.
Both apps are available for iPhone and Android.
Finally, only on Android smartphones can the Navigaweb app be installed, to follow this blog every day in preview and not miss even an article (small advertising space).
