Sites where to find people and photos looking for the name

After these holidays, probably, someone made new friends, met distant relatives, met a girl friend of friends, during an endless game of cards or who knows, he only heard a name ...
Maybe, however, there is little information about this person and he cannot be contacted by phone or email for lack of information, for shyness or, simply, for little desire or for laziness.
However, the fact remains that some curiosity remains to find out more about this person and in today's world, there is no better way than using the internet.
Until recently, the only way was to use Google, type in this person's name and see if he had a web page where he had written something about himself.
Today, with social networks, the operation of looking for people is much easier and it is interesting then to see how others can find us on the internet or how to find people whose name you only know and who are curious about something more.

As mentioned on another occasion in the article on how to find your resume to receive job offers, on the internet, anything you write or publish becomes searchable and available.
It thus becomes possible for an employer or recruiter to search for information online about employees and candidates and check if there is something about their past and the passions of this person.
I don't want to write how to meet new people on the internet but only how to find someone you already know .
It must be said that all this is not valid in absolute terms, only in two cases is it possible to find information about someone using search engines and social networks:
1) This person wants to be found on the internet, is registered in more than one social network, uses his first name, does not lie about his origin and has chosen to be searchable.
2) Naively, he wrote something on the Internet on a site frequented with his name, he left his email visible in the comments of blogs and forums, he did not set an adequate level of privacy on Facebook.
In all other cases it is very unlikely to find information about someone who uses nicknames or fake names on the internet, who does not publish personal photos, who does not write on any blog or who has little web activity.
Be that as it may, trying to see what information and what pictures are of himself, a friend, a work colleague, a relative or a girl never known, could be a good way to lose 10 minutes surfing the web
The best search engines for people and friends are then:
1) Google indexes everything and everyone in its archive and is the first step to finding someone on the internet.
Write the name and surname and scroll through the results.
It is much more fun to search for a person on Google images to see which photos have been published by this person or by some of his friends who have "tagged" him in some social networks such as Facebook.
2) Pipl is the best of these particular people search engines because it digs deeper, it is also localized to find people living in Italy, and it also finds what is not typically scanned by search engines like Google.
On Pipl you can search by name, email, username (or nickname) and telephone number.
A simple search for the username that I always use on the internet (pomhey) revealed some of my online profiles (LinkedIn, Windows Live, Facebook, Twitter, Hi5, Plaxo and many others), some articles written in this blog, the websites in to which my name appears, the PDF documents where my name appears (I did not think) and, surprisingly, all the avatars, images and photos used on the various social networks as an image of my profile and used on this blog in my articles on photomontages.
In the same way, a search with my real name has generated some results even if, sometimes mixed with many things that have nothing to do or with homonyms that live on the other side of the world.
Clicking on "More Result" refers to a Google personalized search engine, aimed at finding only real and human people.
Pipl is strong because it allows you to search by email and can be very useful to see in which website or web page your email address has been left clear, visible and usable.
To prevent spam from reaching your email inbox, it would be appropriate to remove the Email address from the sites that leave it visible to everyone.
Another reflection to do on Pipl is that, by searching by nickname or nickname, you go to find all those who think they remain hidden on the internet for the mere fact of using a pseudonym .
So if one always uses the same, maybe one goes to find out that a close friend is looking for love online or that he sells the car ...
Telephone search works only for the United States, at least on this site.
3) The Facebook search engine in English is really powerful and allows you to enter different search criteria .
You can even search for someone's passions and interests and find, for example, people who have the same hobbies and habits as ours.
You can search by name, by job, school, geographic location and also by interests such as music, TV and movies.
So if you vaguely remember a classmate named Claudio, who loved techno music, it might be the best way to find him.
4) PeekYou is a people search engine similar to the previous Wink where you can find friends or yourself on the web using your real name, username, location, job, school, and interests.
The results are accurate but the research is not too deep.
5) 123people was a very well done site (no longer exists) with a real web page for any name you are looking for.
The search can be done for any word that can be a name, first name and surname or a nickname and you can choose the country in which he should live.
Looking for myself, "Claudio Pomhey" among the Italian web pages, I found an aggregate of results regarding my online presence.
The results include all public information, therefore either made public by the people themselves or because they are indexed by Google.
Among the personal details are the images, any websites, blogs, tweets, videos, documents, social networking profiles, and there is also a tag cloud.
6) Snitch Name is perhaps the most complete people search engine because it searches for profiles on social networks and on search sites such as those seen above.
At startup, after writing the name of the person to find, you can choose which sites to search for, including Facebook, Hi5, MySpace, Linkedin, Plaxo, Netlog and then also on the sites seen above, Pipl, Wink, YoName.
You have therefore managed to find yourself or some friends "> find the address and name of a person from their Italian telephone number and vice versa, which is also valid in Italy and which does not depend on the official White Pages.
If you want, you can then search for new friends with common interests on Facebook and, if you have 10 minutes to lose, I finally recommend reading, for pleasure or utility, the comments of the article on how to see Facebook's private profiles.
