Because Macs are PCs and there is no more difference

I was thinking today about how useless and by now irrelevant the discussion about who is better between a PC and a Mac .
Maybe some time ago they were two different computers, but today they are basically the same and the differences are so few that it is also useless to make a class comparison of this type.
The time when dividing computers into "PC" and "Mac" is over and Mac OS X is just another PC operating system along with Windows and Linux.
Macs are PCs, very beautiful, quality and expensive, but still PCs (although not all PCs are comparable to a Mac).
History
The word PC simply means " personal computer " and, broadly speaking, even smartphones and tablets are PCs exactly like laptops and desktops.
Long ago the PC was IBM PC-compatible, that is, computers that were compatible with the IBM architecture.
Over time, IBM PCs have disappeared and have been replaced with "Wintel" PCs, with Windows operating system and Intel x86 processor inside.
In the past, the hardware of a Macintosh computer was very different from that of a PC.
The Wintel PCs had Intel x86-compatible chips inside, while the Mac had the PowerPC chip, with a completely different architecture so as to make it impossible to install Windows on it as well as, conversely, you could not install Mac OSX on a PC.
The difference, in those computers, was not only the operating system, but also in the internal architecture of the machine.
In 2006, Apple started replacing PowerPC with Intel's x86 chips and there is no Mac today that doesn't have an Intel processor, the same as regular PCs .
Hardware
Today Mac and PC have practically the same hardware and internal.
Some people may think that a Mac's hardware is very different from any PC's hardware, wrong.
The CPU in a Mac is the same Intel CPU that is found in Ultrabooks laptops with the Windows system.
Companies like Samsung, Toshiba and SanDisk supply the same solid state drives used.
LG and Samsung use the same screens as Macbooks.
Also, although in the Mac world, the motherboard has the name "logic board", it is basically the same thing.
Certainly the hardware of a Mac is of high quality and this justifies the high price.
You will never find a 300 Euro Mac just because the hardware inside does not allow this price.
Operating system
The natural consequence of the fact that the hardware of a Mac is no different than that of a PC from other brands is that you can install Windows on a Mac.
We have seen how to install Windows on Mac with Boot Camp, an Apple program that provides drivers to make Windows work.
Installing Mac OS X on Windows is a more difficult operation (in jargon it is called Hackintosh) and not really certified, but still possible.
Price
In my comparison between PC and Mac I had pointed the finger at Apple for its high prices.
Actually I was wrong.
It is true that there are Windows PCs of 300 Euros or less, but their internal hardware is often old or in any case of poor quality.
Those looking for a higher-level, more expensive laptop will find it much cheaper to buy an Apple MacBook Air or MacBook Pro .
This is because a Windows Ultrabook with practically the same hardware can cost more than 1000 Euros.
This is because Apple sells more price computers (from 1000 Euros up) than any other company and, taking advantage of this economy of scale, manages to keep the prices lower than the competition.
It is almost worth buying an Apple Macbook even if you want to use Windows, even if you have to add a 100 Euro for the license.
