Sending photos is one of the most frequent activities when you are on the internet, generally uploading them to a Facebook or other photo sharing sites or sending the image via email. A more refined step would be to send the photo with a comment by voice which becomes ideal to describe the image, to explain it or simply to send an illustrated voice message to someone or a personalized greeting card.
And in fact, in the list of sites to send postcards and greeting cards, there are several services that allow you to send an audio comment with a photo, perhaps inserted in a suitable scenario for the party.
In this case instead we see how you can simply add the voice to a photo and make it speak with a comment or a voice message by recording it from the PC microphone .
The traditional method to add sounds or audio tracks to a photo or an entire album is to create a video presentation where the images go into slideshows with which you can also add music or voice messages.
Another faster method, especially if you want to send a single photo with a recorded message, is to use a web application aimed at the purpose and free. The system is very simple, you upload the photo on the site and use the recorder to add the comment verbally .
There are several sites to create greeting cards with greeting messages plus these two websites that allow you to send a photo that speaks:
1) Yodio is a web service that relies on audio recording via telephone call. Clearly, from Italy this road is impractical, however it is possible to load an mp3 audio file recorded by any PC program that records from the microphone, including the integrated voice recorder in Windows. But then it is certainly better to use the Windows Movie Maker instead of Yodio and it is done earlier.
2) Blabberize is a site where you can upload a photograph and then make it speak by recording a message from the computer microphone or by uploading an already recorded audio file.
3) A similar, much simpler and more useful tool is Fotobabble (has been closed), a completely free web service that allows you to create photos that speak, in a few clicks. First of all, you must register for the service by providing an email address because registration is mandatory. Immediately after you can immediately start using the application, uploading the photo from your computer (in a short time it should also be possible to upload them from Picasaweb or Flickr). Uploaded photos can be kept private or made visible to other registered users on keeping Fotobabble.
In the second phase, you can add the voice message by recording by voice what you want about the photo and by addressing a spoken message. Pressing the Record button starts the Flash Player which must be accessed from the computer microphone. After speaking, you can press Stop and complete the audio recording. The maximum length and duration of the voice comment is not clearly specified but, let's say, that you can speak until the recording bar reaches the end. At the end, you can press on Save to save the photo with comment or on Record again if you are not satisfied and you want to repeat the recording. At the end you can also add tags that describe, in written words, the photo and save everything in your account. The third and final phase is the sharing of the commented photo to get it to friends or relatives, via social networks, with a fixed link, incorporating the spoken photo in a web page of a blog or, more simply, via Email.
