After the effects shown by some online applications with which it was possible to create nice photomontages with your own face or better with your own images and then see yourself with another haircut and make up your face online, in this article instead we describe how to apply somatic effects on one's face from a photo and change it according to age, race or gender. By now photographic applications are capable of anything and if we can use apps like snapchat and MSQRD (or Facebook) to mask the face in photos and videos or even to exchange faces in a photo, it is not so surprising to find applications to age the face or change gender, age and race.
In reality these photographic effects are not new this year and in fact this is an article that I am going to update from 2008 to 2008, when a website came out, by researchers from the computer department of the University of St Andrews, which allowed you to see the own face when he is old, find out what it would be like if he were of opposite sex (male or female) and go back to seeing himself young .
This type of effects has instead been proposed, with even more realism, by an application that is getting, rightly, a lot of visibility on social networks.
The best app that allows you to age your face in a very realistic way, unique in its kind, thanks to a processing that uses the artificial intelligence of neural networks (i.e. mathematical models that learn automatically) is FaceApp .
FaceApp can be downloaded for free for Android and iPhone and works all automatically.
After installation, the app opens with the camera and a frame indicating the position where you need to put your face for the right shot.
When the frame disappears you just have to snap and then wait for the processing. You can then see yourself transformed with a smile, a big smile, with a more cool air (the hot effect), with aging of the face, in the male version, in the female version and rejuvenated. The various transformations can be saved as single images or in a collage with 2 or 4 photos. In the end, the photo can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other phone applications.
Despite being a very fun program, the application has a lot of effect because in some cases it also manages to be very realistic and allows you to discover the somatic features of your face that you could perhaps have ignored (for example how much you can resemble the parent or other relative of opposite sex).

Another application that allows you to age your face in a surprising way and with an incredible effect is Snapchat, the photo and message social network used by many young people in the USA. With Snapchat you can use live filters to transform the face in various ways and, among these, you can select the one called Time Machine which is recognized by the split-screen image of a child and an elderly person. You can then recover with the front camera and then, once you have selected the filter, using the scroll bar to make yourself younger or older .
