Forward the Libero Mail in Gmail

One of the most used e-mail services in Italy is Libero Mail, which is by no means the best choice.
Libero Mail is very limited, with little space for attachments, few options for managing mail and an interface absolutely not up to the best free e-mail sites such as Gmail and Outlook.com.
Wanting to switch from Libero Mail to another Email service, the problem is the difficulty of importing or forwarding mail from Libero to another more advanced service such as Gmail, which is clearly the best available together with Microsoft's Outlook.com.
What is missing is the option, in Libero, of automatic forwarding that would allow you to receive the emails received on the Libero Mail address in another mail account.
To transfer the Libero Mail mail to Gmail and to be able to use all the Google Mail tools without being forced to change the email address, therefore, we must circumvent this limitation and use Gmail as if it were a mail client installed on the PC, as if it were Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird.
While in another article we saw how to import Libero Mail or other accounts into Outlook.com, in this we see how to use Gmail with a Libero Mail address, automatically receiving all incoming mail and, if desired, also using Gmail to send mail from address @ libero.it .
To use Gmail as a mail client and then receive mail from Libero Mail or any other Email account, open Gmail from your browser, press the gear button at the top right, then go to Settings> Accounts and import .
From here, click on the blue " Add an Email Account " link next to the " Check mail from other accounts " option.
Then enter the @ libero.it email address and on the next screen choose the option Import emails from my other account (POP3) .
You will then be asked to enter your Libero Mai username and password, to set up the POP server with popmail.libero.it and port 995, with the option for secure connection (SSL) enabled.
Optionally, you can choose the label with which Gmail must receive messages that arrive at the Libero Mail address, in order, if necessary, to distinguish them from those that arrive at the @ gmail.com address.
Once logged in and added the Libero account to Gmail, you can also, in the next step of the guided configuration, ask to send messages using the @ libero.it address instead of the @ gmail.com address.
This is convenient if you want to continue using the Libero Mail address using Gmail only as if it were a program, without having to tell everyone that you have changed your address.
Obviously, if you then used an email program to send and receive emails, you would have to access that program using the Gmail account and not that of Libero Mail.
Emails received on the Libero email address will still be forwarded to Gmail.
In this regard, to configure Gmail to forward messages from Gmail to a mail client or to another account (so that you can forward Libero Mail emails to an account that does not support importing messages as Outlook.com does and Gmail), you need to open the Gmail.com settings and go to the Forwarding and POP / IMAP tab.
Activate the IMAP Access option here and then, at the bottom, press the button to read the instructions under the heading Configure your mail client (eg Outlook, Thunderbird, iPhone) .
If you want to turn all the emails received in Gmail into another mail account, press instead on Add a forwarding address .
