Transformers Universe is the official online Transformers game, hosted on the Hasbro website, which can be played for free via a web browser. The game genre is " Multiplayer Online Tactical Action " (MOTA) or a third person shooter game to play online together and against other players divided into two teams: the good Autobots and the bad Decepticons .
Players will not be forced to use the same robot throughout the game but will be able to change it and add it to their transformer collection.
The game, in beta open to all, is free and developed by the same of the popular Runescape game, among the best online role-playing games.
Before each game, players can deploy Transformers and customize them to further improve their skills.
Each Robot has its own style of play which can be offensive or supportive.
The great thing about the Transformers game is the double action on foot and transformed into a car that makes the action very varied and very fast, always very destructive as are the films of the Transformers series.
After registering on the official website of the game (it no longer exists), you can choose whether to install the game client on the PC (which weighs only 63MB) or whether to play directly on the browser, using the Unity plugin.
Players can choose any available Transformer and play by moving in the open environment, alone to learn how to move or by looking on the map for the position of allies and opponents, to enter the battle.
The general management of the Transformers seems a bit like that of a racing car, with a clear view from behind, obviously in an all 3D environment.
To drive you accelerate and brake with the W and S keys while to turn you have to use the mouse, in a very simple way.
When you turn into attack mode, then the Transformer stands up and pulls out its weapons .
The fight is fast, made of animations, special effects, explosions and hardness that doesn't hurt.
Like the best shooter games, move the Transformer using the keyboard with the WASD keys while using the mouse to move the head and shoot.
To switch from vehicle to combat mode, press the very important T key.
The weapons, which are three at the beginning, are changed with the 1-2-3 keys while with the 4-5-6 keys the various special abilities are activated.
In the first tutorial mission, which changes depending on the choice between Autobot and Decepticon, you must immediately face some enemies and then return to the base.
Soon after you can buy a new Transformers while a third will be given for free.
Using these transformers you can start with the real game, participating in missions to get money and equipment.
Transformers Universe features all new bots that are not those of the film.
They can be collected during the game and customized with stronger weapons and distinctive aesthetic characteristics.
Each bot has its strengths and weaknesses, both in the vehicle and when it is transformed into a robot.
Some are quick, some are perfect for shooting from a distance, others are healers, indispensable in battle.
The game is all online and multiplayer so you always play with other players with whom you can communicate in the game via chat.
You can also play alone and move freely in the immense play area, to practice or to play individual missions.
Indispensable, to win a battle, create a balanced team and develop attack tactics that are not a casual boarding.
Recommended for those who like PC shooter games, Transformers Universe is truly an excellent browser game, where players can enter the world of Transformers movies and have fun driving these fantastic robots.
