Google Translate offline on Android and iPhone to translate languages without network

Google Translate is one of the most useful applications that can be downloaded for an Android smartphone because it allows you to translate anything in different and practical ways.
- You can translate sentences and words by writing them with the keyboard;
- You can take a picture of an inscription to know what it means (also in Japanese and Chinese);
- You can speak to the translator by transforming your mobile phone into a vocal interpreter of foreign languages that translates what is being said out loud and in real time and thus allows you to speak and communicate without interruption with anyone, even in German, Dutch or Polish.
The biggest limitation of Google Translate has always been the fact that it was almost impossible to use it abroad because the translator needs the internet to work and the connection costs are high when you change the country and go roaming, at least until today.
From now on, those who go to a foreign country can translate or have the Android smartphone or iPhone speak in foreign languages by translating the phrases you need to say or understand into Italian (or other languages).
By updating the Google Translate application for Android or the iPhone application, you can download and install language packs for free to make translations offline, without having to be connected to the internet.
The feature is available for Google Translate on Android (2.3 and above) and supports 50 languages, from French, English, German and Spanish to Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.
Then open Google Translate on your Android smartphone or iPhone, go to the main menu and select Offline languages to then choose which languages to download .
Then select at least two languages (English is already included in a main package) and start the download (the package is a fairly small download, no more than 25 MB in size)
Offline translations are less complete than online ones but are great for making translations when traveling abroad where you cannot connect to the internet.
The end result, however, is to put all the languages of the world in your pocket!
I remember that you can also see Google Maps offline on Android
