Guide to "Google Settings" on Android phones

Scrolling through the list of applications on any Android smartphone, at the letter I, after Settings, you will find Google Settings .
This is the application behind Google Play Services which acts as a general configuration dashboard for all Google Apps connected to Google+.
Through this application you can control some settings of Google services from a single easily accessible location.
Let's examine the 10 functions of the "Google Settings" application to learn what to do with it, what can be changed and why.

1) Administer Connected Apps
From the first option, you can check which applications have been connected to our Google account.
In this Settings page you can search for information on connected apps, the type of access and permissions and disconnect the applications that are no longer used from the account forever.
2) Administer the Google+ account
Who has Google+ installed can manage its most important function, that of auto-backup of photos taken with the smartphone.

4) Activate or deactivate geolocation
Google and many other applications require you to track the location of your device and do it via the network.
You can therefore decide to disable geolocation or activate it also with the use of the GPS receiver by changing the " Mode ".
5) Manage Google Now searches and settings
From here it is possible to activate or deactivate Google Now and choose how to search, if also using the voice, whether to include the search on the phone and whether to disable the web history for more privacy.
In notifications, you can disable notifications from Google Now.
6) Ads
From this option you can have more information about the advertising that Google shows us when doing internet searches.
Google assigns each one an ID that can be reset.
The only thing you can do is to disable interest-based ads to display generic and non-advertising based on what we do and search online.
7) Check App
This is a security feature that has recently received a major improvement and that works almost like antimalware.
You must therefore leave it activated if you want to check the applications you install (also from Google Play) to find out if they are good or potential viruses.

This is the most important function of this application, still little known by many users.

9) File Transfer for Google Drive
If you have installed the Google Drive app, you can choose from here to allow the transfer of files only when the phone is connected to the internet via Wifi and not when connected with a data connection.
10) Clear app data
This option is located in the additional menu at the top right or bottom and is used to delete all data from apps external to Google saved in the Google account.
