IPhone space management: empty memory and full archive

Like any smartphone, even iPhones, over time, slowly runs out of internal memory which is filled with photographs, application data, music, videos, documents and other types of temporary files.
The problem of managing space on the iPhone is that, since there is no expandable storage via micro SD, you need to find a way to empty memory by deleting what is not needed and moving the data you want to keep elsewhere, but that is not necessary to be inside the Apple smartphone.
The speech, of course, also applies to the iPad which perhaps is not used to take pictures, but which can certainly be filled with music and heavier applications or games.

The first thing to do then is to check which applications take up too much space .
To do this, you need to touch Settings -> General -> iPHone Free Space to manage the space and see the list of installed applications with the indication in Megabytes of the memory they occupy.
In this screen there are some options, which appeared after the update to iOS 11, which we explained in the guide to free up space on the iPhone .
To free up memory on iPhone and iPad it is obvious that you have to uninstall other applications and games that occupy too much and that you can give up.
For some apps you may see a space occupied by the application data that was created during its use.
If it is a photo or document app, you will need to open it and delete the files inside it.
However, apps like Safari and Facebook may appear in the list which are not big apps, but they do a lot of internal cache leaving in memory a large amount of temporary files.
To delete temporary Safari files, go to Settings> Safari> Advanced> Website data and delete everything using the related button.
For other applications such as Facebook there is no way on iOS to delete temporary files and data created therefore, the only way is to uninstall and reinstall the app by re-logging in with your account.
The space management utility of the iPhone and iPad will almost certainly show the top of the applications that take up the most memory, the camera and photos and, perhaps, even music or videos.
Photos and music can certainly be moved to a computer, using iTunes or other alternative programs to iTunes to manage the iPhone on the computer.

Before doing this synchronization, however, on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 8, it is advisable to permanently delete the deleted photos that, in reality, have only been trashed, still occupying memory.
In fact, on iOS 8 the accidental deletion of the photos is prevented so that they can be recovered within 30 days, after which they will be permanently removed.
It is therefore worthwhile, if you are short of memory, empty this trash and permanently delete all the photos removed but still present.
Open the photo application, find and open the folder of the recently deleted ones and tap the button in the lower left corner to delete everything.
To delete the heaviest videos in memory, open the settings -> general -> usage, find the Video app and then view the list.
Touch the Edit button to make the button to delete them appear next to each video.
As for music instead keep in mind that there are applications to listen to streaming music on iPhone and iPad, without the need to load the memory with mp3 files.
An app like Google Play Music then allows you to upload your PC's music online and listen to it on your smartphone as if it were on its memory.
To free up space on the memory of an iPhone in a more radical way and without wasting time, you can use a cleaning program.
