MP3 files at the same volume and with the same audio quality

Now on the computers of all people one thing that is not missing is the music in the form of mp3 files.
These mp3 files come from very different sources, some may derive from the "ripping" of some CDs, others are downloaded from the Internet or from P2P programs or have been received by some friends.
Over time everyone has their music collection made of mp3 files which are certainly different from each other in quality and volume .
By playing a random playlist with the media player, you happen to hear music at lower volume levels than in others and with different audio quality.
We are certainly talking about subtleties, these differences in quality and volume, for most cases, even if it is perceived, it does not bother.
However, this problem can be easily corrected by setting all mp3 files to the same volume and sound quality.
Normalizing the audio of two tracks or two music becomes useful even if you need to combine them into a single mp3 file or if you want to create a video presentation with a soundtrack.
Whatever the goal, however, to make the volume of two mp3 tracks equal, you can use the classic audio format or audio editing conversion programs such as Nero Wave Editor and Audacity or with effective media players such as MediaMonkey or, again, with payment as Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit Pro).
The latter is the best performing software because it manages not to make the tracks lose sound quality but it is expensive.
Furthermore, since these programs also do a hundred other things and are quite complex, it is better to use a program famous for its simplicity and immediacy called MP3Gain .
MP3Gain smoothes the volume of multiple audio tracks and multiple music together by analyzing mp3 files to determine how loud they feel.
The operation is really simple and within everyone's reach, also because Mp3Gain can also be downloaded in Italian.
First of all, after installing it, you add the files or entire folders inside it by pressing the respective buttons.
The next step is to analyze the tracks which, after a short process, will result in an optimal volume level to match the songs and mp3 files.
The default value recommended by MP3Gain is 89.0 dB; other programs choose the 92.0 dB value but since you oj software reason in a different way, it is always advisable to use the default values, especially if you have no experience in sound technique (in that case you will probably use more professional software).
The analysis of the audio tracks then highlights the deviations from that value of 89.0 which is detected as the "normal" target volume.
Once the analysis process has been completed, you can click on the button to Normalize and apply the suggested changes to the volume levels of each individual track.
MP3Gain should therefore solve easily and without complications the problem of the different volume levels of the music of a collection of MP3 files, without compromising the quality of the same.
The MP3Gain program is opensource for Windows.
However, there are unofficial versions for Linux and Mac as well
Other programs to increase the audio volume of mp3 and music and normalize the volumes are listed on another page.
The other issue, that of the sound quality of an mp3, is much more complex.
An MP3 itself already has much lower audio quality than a CD track.
Without going into technical details, just know that it is not possible to increase the quality of an mp3 file, you can only lower it, if necessary, to adapt it to the other tracks.
Lowering the quality means lowering the bitrate to an acceptable level that corresponds, I would say at 128 kbps .
Lowering the bitrate allows you to decrease the size of your mp3 files so as to take up less space on your mp3 player or mobile phone.
This is, in fact, the only real goal of a person who wants to lower the audio quality of the files.
A program that changes the bitrate and resizes mp3 files automatically and quickly is called MP3 Quality Modifier .
This program would also allow you to raise the bitrate but it is better to know that in this case, you only increase the file size, without adding anything to the audio quality.
