Fake Virus and fake Windows errors for making jokes on computers

Today is the first of April, the day in which, traditionally, more or less innocent jokes are made to friends to celebrate April Fool's Day.
Even the world of information has fun pulling fake news out of it for real (which they often do ...) and at the end of the day it will be necessary to sort between the real and the joke.
The Internet is also a source of April Fools from all over the world and every year there are beautiful ones also from large companies such as Google and Microsoft.
Here on Navigaweb I had already made a list of funny computer jokes to make on the PC of friends to scare them ; all small tricks that simulate abnormal behavior, fake errors and fake viruses on the computer such as to make one think of irreparable problems.
In another article, then there are reported online tools to create fake newspaper articles with invented news, or fake tickets, plane tickets, medical prescriptions and so on.
On this occasion we see other jokes, a little less innocent than the previous ones which must also be done with caution; not because they are real dangers, but because if the victim is not warned in time this could cause a heart attack.

The best website that distributes jokes around the world is RljPranks specializing in small " Prank " type programs that do nothing useful if it doesn't piss people off .
I state that some of them can be blocked by antivirus, not because they are actually Trojans but because, inside them, they use a code that makes them suspicious.
To better understand, let's see some examples of fake viruses and fake errors :
1) Strange Windows errors
If you share your computer with a friend or family members and you really want to make a funny joke to other people who often use the computer, you can install the small Dr. Windows application.
This application is installed in the application menu, and appears as if it were an antivirus or an optimization tool, called " Dr Windows ".
It actually becomes responsible for the appearance of strange, customizable error messages .
Once installed, by right clicking on the icon next to the clock, you can configure the options including:
- Hide to make the program window no longer appear (to make it reappear you must press the icon with the right mouse button, keeping CTRL pressed).
- Error messages that can appear if you press a combination of your choice of keys or at intervals of time.
The preconfigured messages are quite random and will create a sure frustration for the unwitting victim of the joke.
2) Install a small bogus virus
This is a classic, you can create a fake virus in a thousand ways, one we had seen in the previous article.
Here we set it up on the computer using an external program called Lappet .
Lappet is a completely safe virus that will wreak havoc in the heart of almost every non-expert Windows user.
The joke here is rather innocent because, for example, a reader here of Navigaweb.net will never be able to fall for it since a green bar appears with the words " Deleting Hard disk ... " absolutely not credible.
Then, once the hard drive is "erased", Windows freezes and you can choose a fixed wallpaper.
The user affected by the fake virus can try clicking anywhere without anything happening unless the "up" button is pressed.
At the end, a window appears with a message that teases the user and tells him that it was all a joke or an April fish.
The application does not require any type of installation, it is only a portable executable.
3) Install a real scarier but always fake motion virus .
An April fool to do badly and without going too far is to create a complete and realistic computer virus .
It is actually a fake virus called Ultimate, which first asks if you really want to delete the Windows folder (where the operating system is located) and then delete it without being able to stop it.
The terrifying thing is that while pretending to delete Windows, it also shows the progress and the folders that one by one disappear inexorably.
An expert user, seeing this screen, could slip the joke but one who is not very good at a computer level for sure will cry.
Finally, once all the contents of the Windows folder are deleted, the entire screen becomes completely blank and the time remains for the unsuspecting user to hit and then the message " Thank God thisi is only " appears. a Game "or" Thank God it's just a game ".
After a couple of keystrokes, the application closes and the computer returns to normal.
Ultimate is a portable file that does not require installation only that you will have to find a way to get the victim to launch it.
Some Antivirus block Ultimate saying it is a true virus and in this case the joke will not be successful.
4) On the WikiHow website I found a code to copy and paste on a text file to be renamed with a .bat extension which, if launched, simulates the total erasure of the hard disk and shuts down the computer when it finishes.
If you read the code, you can change the words that appear as a message, perhaps translating them into Italian.
To stop the shutdown sequence, the "shutdown –a" command must be written.
5) Returning to the RljPranks site named above you can download some tools that make jokes and fictions on the computer such as, for example, the Fake Format that graphically simulates the formatting of the hard disk or Fake Delete that brings up the Windows deletion window using the trash.
There are 46 of Pranks to download to make jokes or April Fools that make the most serious errors appear or that simulate virus effects.
Some of them, I repeat, can be stopped by antivirus as suspicious, although I can assure you there are no problems.
6) If you want to joke a friend with fake error messages, you can use the free Windows Error Message Creator program .
You can then write the message that will appear on a box typical of the Windows error.
The joke is clearly done by running the program on the victim's computer.
7) The fake virus that can be downloaded from Makeuseof is a txt file that must be renamed with a .bat extension.
When the bat file is run, a series of error messages appear and then the computer shuts down.
To avoid this shutdown, you can quickly press the Window-R keys and run the shutdown / a command.
8) The blue screen error screen can be displayed by downloading this bsod.txt file and renaming it with the .bat extension.
9) The EICAR virus is a fake virus that is used to check whether the antivirus works or not.
10) A funny joke for Windows PCs is the fake update screen that appears when launching the video on the Fakeupdate.net site, to be put full screen using the F11 key.
11) In another article there are other jokes to destroy the PC desktop, to pretend.
Going beyond fake antivirus, I remember the article on how to change the voice on Skype or other chat programs .
If you know others, let them know but, above all, if you try some of these jokes and fake viruses, tell me what happened then!
