When the new year arrives one of the best selling products on newsstands is the calendar with, for each month, a different photo. The best-selling calendars are certainly those of almost naked girls in sexy poses, the more daring ones, often referred to as "truck drivers", those with photos of cars and motorcycles, those of football teams and so on. But the most beautiful thing is certainly to create your own personal calendar, with photos chosen by us and not by others, perhaps with photos of holidays or selected from the best to remember the past year or, to make a gift, with images most important, he took his own personal albums. After writing about how to create a desktop wallpaper with the calendar of the month with one or more photos arranged in an artistic way and after advising to download the calendar all in one page, I was asked to print a program from install on the pc can create a calendar with photos .
We found two very good ones, to create a personalized calendar and also one to print the classic kitchen calendar, the one usually offered by restaurants.

After creating and giving a name to the new file, the program automatically attaches itself to the internal Windows calendar in order to recognize all the days of the week of the new year. In the extremely clear wizard, you can choose the type of calendar to be created from those proposed. For example, you can choose to create a monthly calendar with one month per page, or weekly, or annual on a single page with photos in the center or, again, a free calendar, with only the numbers of days and fields that can be filled in manually (called birthday calendar). You can now choose, if you have chosen a type of calendar with multiple pages, whether to insert a cover (value 0) or whether to start immediately from January (value 1). In the next tab you choose whether the format and size should be suitable for professional photographic printing (in laboratories) or if done at home with your own printer . In the latter case, the setting of the A4 sheet is automatically suggested. In the fourth tab you choose the year. The last step of the wizard is to choose the graphic model among those available.
Even if you don't like any of the formats, there is no problem, you can choose the white one, customize it completely and then save it as a default template.
At the end of the upload, the preconfigured calendar appears with the same image for all the pages. Now, the whole calendar is customizable, in the choice of photos, in the size, in the number of photos, in the text displayed, in the colors, in the type of font or font to be used for each element and in the characteristics of the calendar. You will notice the program interface divided into two windows, one where changes are made in real time, on the preview and the other for choosing photos from the computer.
You can change the photo for each month or for each week, by double clicking on the default image and choosing, among the computer files, the one you want to put. You can also choose to add a new image by dragging the photo from the resource explorer window to the calendar. Among the effects you can choose whether to smooth the edges, color them, frame the photo and also the degree of transparency of the photo in the background . The masking effect allows you to change the shape of the photo, from rectangular to, for example, a heart, a speech bubble and other shapes. Finally, you can choose the position of the image, if central or wherever you want.
Each page of the calendar can be different from the others.
Going to the top menu, in the item "elements" you can add a text box and you can decide the colors of the background. For the background you can make shades between two colors, both for the lower and the upper part and you can also use a texture downloadable from the internet for a more beautiful design to see. For each text box, including the names of the months and the year, you can decide the font among all those available on Windows and the color, also with shades and transparency.
By clicking where the days of the month or week are, you can choose the font, size and color with which they are written. With regard to the calendar, you can automatically add the holidays of your country, including Italy and distinguish between holidays and weekdays. Unfortunately, only some German cities are available for the school calendar, however special days can be added so that you can immediately highlight the particular and relevant dates in a personalized way. On each page of the calendar it is possible to add a thumbnail of the days of the following month and / or of the previous month, as you do in most professional calendars.
Once you have made all the changes to the layout, you can save the model for later use (from the Extra menu) so that it appears as selectable when creating a new calendar. At the end, you can save the page created as an image or you can preview the entire calendar before printing it, month by month or week by week or all in one page in case you have chosen the annual template. Being based on Microsoft Access, the customization possibilities are therefore infinite and its simplicity from a technical point of view, leaves full room for imagination!
