How to use Tablet Mode in Windows 10

Tablet Mode is a new feature in Windows 10 that was created following complaints about the first terrible full screen of the first Windows 8, which was then limited in Windows 8.1 and only optional in Windows 10.
The tablet mode is the one to be used in touchscreen PCs and convertible tablets with Windows 10, including the expensive Microsoft Surface or even the super cheap Ace One.
The tablet mode is, in fact, the app screen that Microsoft had prepared for all the PCs in the world when Windows 8 was released, which however is optimized only when using Windows 10 on a tablet or on a touchscreen.
On most convertible tablets, tablet mode can be activated each time the keyboard is disconnected by clicking on the relevant warning.
If no request appears on the screen (which never appears with bluetooth keyboards), you can activate tablet mode from the notification center, by pressing the message icon located in the lower right corner in Windows 10.
This mode completely hides the traditional desktop and the Start button opens the applications and programs screen .
At the bottom you will see the icons to go back, the one to do searches and the button to open the preview of the open apps to switch between them.
In addition, the virtual keyboard key appears at the bottom right near the clock, so you can write by touching the letters on the screen.
By right-clicking on the taskbar, you can choose to display the program icons again on the taskbar and to display those of the notification area with the programs in the background.
Interesting is the possibility to add the Windows Ink button, which appears next to that of the virtual keyboard, to start the drawing tool, to take notes or write on the screen freehand.
Tablet mode also has a dedicated set of options in the Settings menu.
From the Start menu, press the gear icon, go to Settings> System> Tablet mode .
Here you can choose whether to always use tablet mode on the PC, whether to ask for confirmation when the PC switches to tablet mode and whether to hide icons and the taskbar.
To exit tablet mode, press the notification center button and press the same button used to activate it.
On a touch device, touch with your finger from the right edge of the screen and drag it to the left to bring up the Action Center, then touch the Tablet mode button that is turned on.
Although personally I would find it strange, the tablet mode may not be bad to use even on a non-touchscreen laptop, to make the use of the computer easier, with the programs that always open full screen, without windows anymore.
You can always open two programs on the screen by dragging them to the right or left.
Remember, though, that if you liked the Windows 8.1 Start screen, you can return it to Windows 10 by going to Settings> Personalization> Start and activating the Full screen mode option for Start .
