Create many folders together in one go

On some occasions the need may arise to have to create many folders in a Windows directory, to create different paths.
To give a trivial example, you might want to organize the working documents for their date then, in a folder of the year, create one for each month and then inside each month, one for each week or for each day.
You should then create a new folder, one by one, giving it a name.
This is the typical case of tedious operation that can be done automatically using a small and simple tool for Windows capable of creating a large number of folders in one go .
There are two alternative tools to create many "batch" folders and sub-folders, that is, with a single operation.
1) Text2Folders is a free program that creates many folders by giving them their name written in a text file.
Its operation is basic and very simple, just specify the main path where all the folders you want will be created.
In the Text File field, indicate the .txt text file which contains the names of the folders to be created, one for each line.
If you don't want to use a text file, you can also enter the names manually in the Manual field, always one per line.
The program, completely portable and without installation, does the rest.
If you want to create subfolders, you need to indicate the path: for example:
Today / documents1
Today / documents2
Yesterday / documents1
2) Better than Text2Folders (but no longer in development) for a more professional and alternative use is the portable and free tool XMD (eXtended Make Directory) which works in a very similar way but with a large number of more options.
In fact, XMD allows you to specify some variables so that you can create different folders named with the date, the time or based on other parameters.
To specify the main folder, click on the button with the three dots.
To add a parameter you must press on the +.
To create many folders together you can write the names or the variables divided by the symbol | .
3) With the small FileTool program for Windows, on the other hand, you can create multiple files, multiple folders and multiple files together.
4) If you install one of the programs to navigate folders in Windows and move files like FreeCommander, you also get the function of being able to create many folders together in a path directly from Windows Explorer.
If the need is to delete all the empty folders, there are programs like Vanity Remover, equally automatic.
