Create user accounts on Android or use limited profiles

When you have a tablet at home, this is usually everyone's, it stays there on the table ready to be used to surf the internet or read Navigaweb.net. Then when guests or friends come home or if you go somewhere carrying the tablet, it may be that other people also want to use it for a moment to search for something or to connect to Facebook or to send an Email. In all these cases there is a problem: everyone uses the same account which remains somewhat exposed to the eyes of others and which cannot be used with more than one Facebook, Gmail or other account.
This problem has been resolved on Android smartphones and tablets, where it is possible to configure different accounts and a Guest account for guests who use the tablet once or occasionally .

Create a User on Android

To get started, open the Android tablet settings screen and tap the Accounts and Users option. If you do not see this setting, you have to look for the Users option that in many Android devices is found under System> Advanced .
To create a separate user and different from the main one, touch User and then the option Add a new user that can be normal or of type Visitor or Guest .
User accounts are the best option to let other people use a tablet by separating photos, apps, personalized settings and everything else. The guest is useful, however, when you want to lend the phone to someone safely.
A quick way to create user accounts in Android is to pull down the notification bar and tap on the avatar or photo icon. From here you can switch to another user or even create a new one.
Once a new user has been added, the first welcome screen will show the typical welcome screen. When asked if you have a Google Account, tap No and select Not now . This creates an offline account that will function as a normal user, except for the fact that it will not be able to install additional applications and use all the options that require a Google account. All users will still be able to use applications such as the Chrome browser to browse the internet, YouTube to view videos, Google Maps for maps and other applications and also to make phone calls. Different is the speech of the guest account which instead cannot send messages, cannot make calls (unless authorized by the main user) and can only use the preset apps.
To install applications from another user account, you need to create a separate Google account from your personal one, access the settings menu and install the applications from Google Play. Keep in mind that Android does not waste space by installing applications twice on the same tablet so if you choose apps already installed on the main account, they do not take up more memory.
To switch from one account to another from the lock screen, you can touch the smiley face icons that appear at the bottom of the lock screen. In case you create an account for each family member, everyone can have their password or PIN and use the tablet with their personal accounts without the possibility for others to find out their passwords. Creating accounts for specific people is the same as for the guest account except that in this case, you are immediately logged in with that person's Google or Gmail account. He can set his own lock code to protect his account. The only additional privilege of the Android tablet owner (the first account that has been registered) is that it can remove other accounts by deleting them.

Guest User

On Android smartphones and tablets you also have the option to set up restricted or limited profiles when adding a new user account. Limited Profiles, called guests or visitors, only have access to some applications and are an excellent solution for someone to use the phone without being able to see our data .
