Avira Antivirus Rescue CD to rid your computer of infections and viruses

Avira Antivir is one of the best known antivirus in the world, (see list of the best free antivirus) also because it is free and protects your computer like a paid antivirus.
Avira also has the so-called Rescue CD, that is the antivirus version that can be started, via CD, when the computer is turned on, thus allowing a more accurate scan.
When your computer is completely virus infected and becomes slow, almost frozen and difficult if not impossible to manage, it is best to restart it using a recovery disk and perform a full scan from there.
As seen in previous articles, boot CDs are those programs or sets of software that allow you to correct errors and scan viruses without loading Windows .
If the PC does not start, it can only be resolved with boot CDs.
After seeing how to use the scan of the Kaspersky Rescue Disk and how to clean up the infected PC with Bit Defender, let's see how to use the Avira recovery disk .
Again you can download Avira AntiVir Rescue System for free on any computer.
There are two versions, an .exe and an .iso .
If you download the Rescue CD .Exe you can actually use this 200 MB executable file to burn the image to a disc without using any other software.
All you have to do is open it, insert a blank CD in the reader and follow the guided procedure to copy the antivirus to the disk.
If there are problems with the integrated burner program, you can download the ISO which can easily be copied to a CD using an easy and free program like ImgBurn.
Alternatively, but I have not tried, you can use the Unetbootin program to put the ISO inside a USB stick so as to start the antivirus from USB instead of from disk.
Still melgio, as seen in the article "Join ISO images of Live programs, in a CD / DVD or USB stick", you can create a single disk or USB stick that has, inside, all the various rescue disks available, plus computer recovery tools.
In general, after burning Avira Antivir Rescue System, you have to restart the computer and set, in bios, the startup from C D.
Read here to enter the bios of your computer.
Once the computer has restarted with the CD in the drive, a menu will appear that allows you to start the antivirus or Windows from the hard disk.
If you do not select anything automatically, the Avira Antivir recovery CD starts.
Now, before anyone says that this operation is useless because the antivirus would not be updated, let's say immediately that the program of any rescue disk allows internet connection (except perhaps on very old computers).
The first thing to do with Avira Rescue CD, therefore, after loading, is to go to the Update tab and apply the latest updates .
This operation must always be done because these updates are not copied to the CD.
In this way, the scan will find even the newest virus.
After the update, go to the antivirus tab and press the Start-Scanner button which, after a somewhat slow process, should free your computer from all infections .
