Disable the plugin container in Firefox to lighten the browser

Firefox arrives at version 7, but continues to be unconvincing and, at this point, it is not really clear why Mozilla continues to release full number versions when there are no improvements and not even considerable news.
Firefox always remains one of the best browsers to surf the internet, especially for its expandability and the possibility of adding numerous functions through add-ons and scripts, but it is losing that technical advantage that had seen it almost outnumber Internet Explorer in the ranking of the most used browsers and above all it is losing ground towards the Google Chrome browser, which is now more solid and faster.
So what's new from Firefox 7 "> Remove browser plugins to browse the web safer
The fact is that Firefox, after opening it and browsing for a while, seems to get nailed or freeze, consuming a lot of memory on the computer, also due to that strange process called Plugin-Container.exe which, theoretically, should preserve crashes of Firefox separating the browser from its plugins.
To disable the Plugin-Container, you must write in the address bar the command about: config and then search for the word ipc and put all the true values of the listed items, on false . (three items like dom.ipc.plugin.enabled should appear).
After restarting Firefox, that plugin-container.exe should no longer appear among the processes of the task manager, which, at this point, I would say is more superfluous than useful.
Starting from Firefox 14, with the selective blocking of plugins, it is no longer possible to disable the Container plugin even if, fortunately, the performance problems have been solved.
If Firefox is still heavy and you may have to resort to using extensions to decrease the RAM consumed by Firefox.
My advice to disable hardware acceleration on Firefox should also benefit memory consumption.
Firefox users should be notified of the automatic update.
To download Firefox 7 in Italian you can go to the Mozilla.org website which shows the download link of the version for Windows Linux or Mac depending on the computer used.
Firefox 7, compared to Firefox 6, has improved the synchronized management of passwords and bookmarks between computers which should now be almost instantaneous.
Although Firefox still deserves unconditional trust, I believe that even the most avid fans must begin to move on, look elsewhere and change the default browser by trying the alternatives that certainly are not lacking.
