App to collect money for collections, gifts and share expenses

You must collect a sum of money for a collection or to make a surprise gift to a friend ">
Collect money for collections and gifts
Postepay
The first app that I recommend you use to collect money for collections and gifts is the Postepay app, given the widespread use of the prepaid Poste Italiane card among young, very young people and also among current account holders.
The Postepay app can be used to collect money through the P2P function, which shows you all the contacts in the address book that use the same app so as to search for the money and receive it on your card quickly and easily.
Before continuing, you will need to register an account at the Italian Post Office website, in order to have the credentials to be used within the app.
If you have not already done so, you can subscribe to the Poste Italiane services using the link here -> Poste Italiane Registration.
Enter your name, surname, a mobile number and your tax code to start signing up for the service (with a username and password chosen by you).
Once registered, make sure that the credentials work and that your Postepay is visible; if your friends have not yet registered, send the previous link to them too before using the Postepay app to exchange money.
Once these preliminaries are settled, the usage scenario changes according to your role:
1) If you are in charge of collecting the money and you have a Postepay (both standard and Evolution), just click on the Receive button on the main screen, on the word P2P.

In the following screen select the contacts in the address book that must send you the money; if they also own the Postepay app they will receive the notification with the amount to be paid.
2) If instead you have to send a participation in the collection, just click on the notification you will receive from the person in charge of the collection or click on Pay in the main screen, in the P2P section.

The cost of the P2P service is free up to the sum of € 25 per day; to collect higher sums the cost is 1 € per operation, sum that will pay each taxpayer (whoever collects the money does not have to pay commissions).
You can download the Postepay app for the main mobile operating systems from the following links -> Postepay for Android and Postepay for iOS
PayPal
The PayPal app can also be used as a tool to collect collections and money for gifts or events. Compared to the method offered by Postepay with the Paypal app you have the possibility to use any type of card (prepaid, credit card or debit card), the PayPal balance that is already available or even the current account to send money to a collection.
Before continuing, you will obviously need to have an active PayPal account in order to receive and send money through the app; if you are not yet subscribed to the service and / or some of your friends are not, you can use the following link to start the subscription -> Register PayPal.
To register, you will need a valid email address (make sure you can access it, it is essential to receive confirmation emails and requests for money) and you will have to choose a password.
Once inside the account, associate your credit card, prepaid card or bank account to exchange money on Paypal.
Make sure all attendees already have a PayPal account, otherwise you won't be able to collect the full amount.
Once these important preliminaries are fixed, the usage scenario changes according to your role:
1) If you are in charge of collecting money, simply access the PayPal app on your mobile device and click, on the main screen, on the Request money button.

Once you tap on this button, the directory of recent contacts will open to which you can send the notification and request payment of the sum; if the user is not present in the address book, simply enter the email address or telephone number associated with the PayPal account to involve him in the collection.
2) If instead you have to send the sum of money as participation in a collection, just click on the notification you will receive from the person in charge of the collection or proceed autonomously to payment by opening the PayPal app, logging in and clicking on the main screen on the Send money button .

The recent contacts directory will open again; select the account of the user in charge of the collection and select the amount to be sent.
The account of the user in charge is not present in the address book "> PayPal for Android and PayPal for iOS.
An alternative app and perhaps even better and more convenient than PayPal is Venmo, which makes it easy to split the account or other expenses simply by using an SMS.
Venmo is widely used in the USA but is not officially usable in Italy yet.
