4Shared: 10 GB online space with desktop synchronization and sharing

We have reported many sites for uploading files to the internet, each free of charge, each with one or more limits, sometimes unlockable by paying a premium account.
What is universally considered the best web application for keeping files online is Dropbox, a flexible tool full of plugins to use it in multiple areas.
Dropbox, however, allows you to upload files on the internet only up to 2GB (which can be increased in various ways) which is a rather small size, especially if you want to keep a copy of your photos, videos and music CDs.
Many other more capacious online hard drives often have annoying limits on the available bandwidth, on the size of the single file, on the lack of applications for smartphones and mobile phones, on the lack of a desktop program for synchronization and so on.
It then becomes an obligation to report the updating of a site that many will already know, 4Shared, because it has increased its power and has become, I believe, one of the best sites that allow you to keep files on the internet, share them and synchronize them between multiple computers .
4Shared is quite famous because it is used a bit like the excellent MediaFire and the old Rapidshare, to share files on the internet, in forums or in other sites.
By registering with 4Shared you have 10 GB available to use freely to upload files online and be able to open them from any connected computer.
The novelties of 4Shared, those of which I was not aware and which make it a champion of the category, are:
1) The size limit of a single file is 2 GB or 2000 MB (like SkyDrive)
2) You can download and install a 4Sync desktop application very similar to that of DropBox which allows you to upload files to your 4Shared account without necessarily opening the site.
In addition, you can choose a folder on your computer so that all the files copied to it are synchronized online on your account so as to always create a backup copy, updated and visible on all the computers used (for example at work and at home) .
This function is really important if you have backup needs and to always have a copy of documents, photos, music or videos on all computers.
Absolutely to avoid is the Toolbar, annoying like few others.
3) All files uploaded to your 4Shared can also be opened on the iPhone and on Android, Blackberry and Nokia Symbian smartphones through the related applications.
From the smartphone you can open the files without downloading or downloading them to open them offline or keep them in the phone memory.
4) For each shared file or folder there are links and sharing html codes for social networks, Facebook, forums and blogs.
Uploads and downloads are very fast, at least from the tests done these days.
To upload files, dragging on the web page works, which is very fast and fluid.
However, the free version has a limit that could be annoying in some cases.
The download of your uploaded files and also those shared by others can only be done by waiting for a certain period of time.
The real link to the file uploaded in 4Shared is in fact covered.
In reality, this link can be extracted from the official desktop application or with other programs such as Jdownloader that work as a download manager to get rid of these blocks.
Better than 4Shared is now Mediafire with 50 GB of free space.
