Internet Explorer can be removed from Windows 10, 7 and 8

To uninstall Internet Explorer has been, practically always, a fairly frequent request that is made to blogs and IT forums.
If in the past I have always strongly advised not to do anything and still keep Internet Explorer on Windows, also because in any case, in its latest version, it is far from a bad browser, now that Microsoft itself has practically finished it, the question back to topicality.
At present, in Windows 10 the Microsoft Edge browser takes the place of Internet Explorer which does not disappear, but remains hidden and we also had to write a guide to explain where Internet Explorer is located in Windows 10.
It is obvious therefore that Internet Explorer, even if still maintained and updated by Microsoft, will not have a version 12 and is destined to disappear completely from the PC within a short time, except for certain business uses.
Basically, since Internet Explorer can no longer even be compared to Chrome, Firefox and other browsers such as Opera less used but in continuous development, it may be a good idea to remove it completely, not only from Windows 10, but also from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (and as explained a few months ago do not use Internet Explorer anymore, especially if it is not the latest version, the 11).
Beyond these considerations, I still recommend thinking about it today before removing Internet Explorer from Windows for three reasons :
- In the meantime, if there is, I don't see what trouble it should give.
- Secondly, removing Internet Explorer is only partially possible, because being integrated in the Windows system, it shares system files that cannot be removed (on the other hand, it can be remitted at any time).
- Third reason, the most important, is that there are some sites, especially web applications of banks and public administration sites, that work well only in Internet Explorer and not with Chrome and Firefox.
If you are convinced, uninstalling Internet Explorer from Windows 10 and also from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 is not difficult at all and, above all, it is not an irreversible operation.
You can decide to remove Internet Explorer today, and then put it back in the future if needed.
Disabling or removing Internet Explorer 11 from Windows 10 is easy easy by going to the Windows feature addition and removal utility.
Then open the Control Panel from the Start menu or from the search box on the taskbar, click on Uninstall a program and then open Programs and Features .
In the left pane you will see a link to click called activate deactivate Windows functionality which leads to a list, in which Internet Explorer is located.
Here uncheck the box next to Internet Explorer 11, press OK, continue, wait for the upload and it's done.
If prompted, restart your PC once.
If you want to reinstall Internet Explorer, just repeat the procedure by checking the box from the Windows functionality window.
To completely remove Internet Explorer, you must instead reinstall Windows using, however, a tool to customize the Windows installation disk .
