10 programs for each systems engineer

The system engineer is that professional computer figure who deals with operating systems (in my previous life I was a system administrator).
In our own small way, we PC administrators are or should be all systems administrators, even if only in relation to Windows, in order to be able to face all the problems that can happen daily with a computer: install the system, format the PC, install and uninstall programs, analyze network and internet connections, configure Control Panel settings and so on.
In this list we see the programs that every system administrator, not only beginner but also professional, should always have at hand, to perform various types of operations, checks, tests and solve many problems that otherwise it might be difficult to understand.
There are really many useful programs for systems engineers, but here we stop only at the best 10, the most useful ones, all free.
1) Rufus
This program is one of the best for burning an ISO image on a USB stick and therefore, for installing Windows or Linux without needing a CD or DVD.
Having the Windows ISO on a USB stick is also important to be able to solve problems in the case of a PC that no longer starts, while having the ISO of a Linux distribution allows you to use any computer by starting the system in "live" mode, ie without installation.
This is especially convenient when you want to recover important files from a PC that no longer loads.
2) VirtualBox
This is the program that every professional system administrator uses to be able to keep different versions of Windows or even different Linux distributions on the same PC.
It is a simple virtualization program that allows you to install an operating system as if it were a program, without creating partitions, without dual boot, without any difficulty.
The virtual PC is independent and separate from the system in which Virtualbox is run, so it works great for testing or even for running programs that are not compatible with the system in use on the computer.
3) Easus Partiton Master
Better than Partition Magic, this is the most effective and easy-to-use program for creating PC disk partitions, for formatting, moving, unmounting, merging and separating different partitions.
4) AOMEI Backupper
AOMEI is the name of a software house that develops some of the best programs for systems engineers in a free version, including this Backupper which is one of the easiest to use to clone the disk and create an image of the system, so you can restore it all automatically.
This program is also convenient for moving Windows to SSD or other disk.
5) Speccy
This program by the developers of Ccleaner is the best one, free of charge, to check the computer hardware, to know everything inside it: brands, models and technical characteristics.
6) Sandboxie
This is a very particular program for Windows PC that creates a protected environment such as a "sandbox" to try and install even dangerous programs, without the system being able to suffer any harmful effects.
It is a really useful software for anyone who wants to try any kind of software or tool.
7) WinDirStat
To get a quick overview of everything on the computer, you can use this program that analyzes the disk space giving immediate evidence of the largest files and folders.
It is an ideal tool when it is required to free up disk space.
8) FixWin
This is certainly one of the most complete programs to correct Windows errors.
It is a collection of commands to be executed to solve small system problems, nothing that cannot be done even without, but it makes everything easier (even if it is only in English).
In addition to this, it would also be advisable to keep those programs handy to fix computer errors quickly
9) Winaero
This is one of the simplest and most complete "Tweaker" type programs, that is, it allows you to modify hidden Windows settings to customize the system even when going where Microsoft would not allow.
10) Process Explorer
While the Windows task manager can show us the processes running on the PC, this Process Explorer goes deeper, giving much more detail and providing some tools to analyze active processes and understand what they do and what they depend on.
To go beyond these 10, I refer to the list of the 30 most useful programs for Windows, which every system administrator and computer administrator (therefore anyone has one) should know and have.
