10 ways to save on technology purchases

Technology, IT and telephony enthusiasts may be required to spend a lot of money to stay up to date.
For this reason, most geeks and geeks nerds try to save as much as possible and have everything they need to cultivate their hobby without passing out and without losing quality.
The important thing is research therefore, even with your support, we explain to the less tech-savvy how you can save a lot when you have to buy some hi-tech object or technological device : mobile phones, cell phones, computers, tablets or any other electronic accessory.
1) Avoid warranty extensions
Whenever you go to buy a technological object at the mall, no matter how large or small, the shop assistant will probably ask you to purchase the extended warranty or other forms of insurance against furni and particular damages not covered by the normal warranty.
These costs increase the overall expense for the product and not always, indeed almost never worth it.
Of course, for a particularly absent-minded consumer who has a tendency to break things quickly, perhaps it is worthwhile, but otherwise, it is almost never convenient.
This is because some technological objects become old quickly enough and after a few years they will already be replaced (such as video cards and smartphone phones).
Other types of electronic devices or components, on the other hand, are very resistant (such as the computer monitor).
Not to mention that the guarantee in general of electronic objects is always problematic, with long waits for repairs and a thousand clauses that can invalidate it as nothing.

2) Reformulate the contract for the internet or telephone
Today it almost seems that one cannot buy a cellphone or tablet without subscribing to a monthly subscription with the telephone provider for a minimum duration of two years.
It is often possible to get an apparent and excellent discount by signing a new fixed fee contract.
Most of the time there are no advantages to changing the tariff plan and replacing the old one is never convenient (the companies study tariff combinations that are to their advantage).
The question is always: How much do I spend per month today for mobile "> Costs and limits of mobile internet subscriptions in Italy
3) Don't take the more expensive equation = more quality for granted
Sometimes, indeed almost always, when you buy a technological object you are paying a high price caused by the brand - or worse, by the name.
I'm not just talking about smartphones like the iPhone or Samsung, but also about objects and components like HDMI cables; network cables, USB sticks or chargers.
Better to look for brands below cost that work the same way.
For example, the chargers that are found at the stalls are those made by the Chinese and are perfect.

4) Buy products on display or "refurbished"
If you are looking for a new TV, a laptop, a mobile phone or other gadgets and you want something brand, perhaps one of the latest models, but spending less as possible, you can look at the "refurbished" market.
Refurbished means that the product was previously on display and has been re-canned and put back on the market.
In practice it has been used and also touched by other people in the shops and, therefore, they cost less.
You can ask for this type of electronic products in shopping centers or there are several online stores of "refurbished" products and just search the internet (even in the Apple Store there are refurbished Macs).
5) Discounts and vouchers
Depending on the person, there may be specific discounts.
For example, there may be discounts for students for the purchase of computers (a few years ago there were) or discounts for seniors in shopping centers.
In the sites of good discounts and codes to be printed there are also technology products at lower prices than normal.
In addition, when you go to buy something, you can not miss a look at the flyers of shopping centers, often full of offers.
6) Wait for the right time to buy
Like all things, technology prices fluctuate all year round.
Depending on what you are buying, there may be a particular period when these prices drop.
Searching for technology blogs you can also find out if a superior model of a particular product is coming out and therefore take advantage of the fact the price of the previous model should drop a bit (for example the Galaxy S3 now costs less after the release of the Galaxy S4).
7) Sell online whenever possible
If one always wanted to keep up with the latest model and buy the most recent tablet, the best smartphone or computer on the market, then, to spend as little as possible, one must sell what one has.
In practice, if I want the iPhone 5, I immediately sell the iPhone 4 and then, when the iPhone 6 comes out, I will sell the 5 and so on.
Of course it is a demanding hobby and not really cheap, but you can recover a lot of money and the dream of always having the latest technology in hand will be fulfilled.
Technology products are sold on Ebay like bread.
8) Apply some modifications to the old one to obtain the same functions as the new one
An excellent way to save money is to try to get the most out of the product you have (from your computer, tablet or mobile phone etc.) so that you can get the same new functions that have been implemented on the new model.
For example, you can overclock the processor or the video card of the computer to make it more powerful or root the Android smartphone and change the version by putting a more updated one.
9) Before buying, check the prices online
When it is time to buy a new technology product, it is better to check the prices on the internet on sites such as Amazon or others.
In previous articles we have already reported sites to find the best laptop and to compare mobiles and smartphones and find the best one.
Buying the right product for your needs will ensure you don't waste money.
10) Do not get overwhelmed by the marketing campaigns of the producers who every day seem to come up with who knows what innovative technology.
Sometimes, you buy a new PC or a new mobile phone because the old one no longer works well, but other times it is changed only for the pleasure of buying the newer model, which has the best screen when watching HD movies or which has the slightly more powerful processor.
Keep in mind that most of the tech products that come out on the market every year are useless stuff and simple reworkings of old things.
