Widget for the Windows desktop with information and buttons

Microsoft has decided that gadgets will no longer be an integral part of its Windows operating systems.
Although some of the best gadgets for Windows 7 are still available, those who appreciate and use this feature will have to look for other programs.
Widgets or gadgets are those interactive panels for the desktop that display information or that contain buttons for quick start of the main programs and applications.
With gadgets you can add interactivity to the desktop making it more than a screen with icons of favorite programs. Xwidget is an excellent Windows tool to add different types of gadgets or widgets to the desktop and customize it according to your tastes and needs. This small application can come in handy to automate certain small Windows mechanisms and to launch programs quickly, with an eye to the most important information such as weather, clock, computer status and other things.
Xwidget for Windows 10, Windows 7 and 8 is easy to install even if, during the procedure, you have to remove the options from the " more Widget " item to avoid putting too many useless objects. At the beginning it appears with a bar at the bottom that lists the widgets available and to choose from. To activate one, just drag it anywhere on the desktop. If you close the initial configuration, you can return to the widget selection window using the right mouse button on the XWidget icon near the clock and click Add Widget .
By pressing the Manage Widget button, you access the list which lists the active ones (running) and those installed and activated (installed).
Clicking from here More Widget opens a window on the online gallery of the Xwidget site and you can browse the various gadgets available and downloadable for free. Each widget, after it has been added, can be activated, customized and configured in its settings and also changed with an editor. Among the predefined Windows desktop widgets are the weather, the clock, the system resource counter to see how much CPU and how much memory is occupied, a photo viewer, a feed reader to receive news from your favorite site directly on the desktop, a push-button panel for quick connections to the main folders and a data counter for internet use.
Graphically it is very elegant and easy to manage, although, unfortunately, it is completely in English. It consumes little background memory so it does not involve the computer in the display of interactive panels. By pressing the options button, from the right-click menu on the icon in the taskbar, you can decide to call up the display of the widgets with a combination of buttons or with a double click of the middle mouse button. You can also activate an automation on the desktop to quickly hide the icons with a double click of the mouse on the screen and make them reappear in the same way.
Always from the options, if you like, you can choose to start XWidget together with Windows by putting it into automatic execution.
I know for sure that there are people who love widgets or gadgets for Windows and others who hate them.
Those who appreciate interactive tiles can install special Windows 8 interface widgets such as Winmetro which enables a series of desktop widgets on the Windows screen in the form of rectangular buttons and adds the Metro interface of Windows 8 to the Windows 7 desktop.
or even dock bars for quick start of programs.
