Use a video as a Facebook profile picture

On Facebook you can now put a video instead of the standard profile photo.
The feature, announced in October in the USA, is now also available for us Italians who can make our profiles more "alive" by using 7-second loop videos.
The short videos will be looped, like GIF images, and will only be visible when you visit a person's profile page.
Creating an animated profile on Facebook is fairly simple, but is currently only available on the Facebook app for iPhone and Android.
To turn your profile picture into a video, you must then open the Facebook app and view the profile page.
On iPhone and Android the profile photo is displayed in the center at the top and has, in the lower right, an icon used to modify it (if the icon is a camera, the function is already active).
By touching this icon you can change photos and choose to record a new video profile or upload a ready-made video.
If it says " video available soon " it means that you still have to wait a few days before the function is activated (at the moment some can already do it, others don't).
On the next screen, press the big red button to start recording.
After the three second countdown, the recording starts and lasts no longer than 7 seconds.
After recording the video, it can be previewed, looped, showing how it will look to others if confirmed.
If that's okay, you can go ahead and choose a frame that appears as a profile photo when the video isn't playing.
The video profile, in fact, is seen in a loop when someone visits our page from the Facebook app (on iPhone and also on Android).
Instead, only the image chosen in the news flow and on the PC website will be visible.
Anyone who has set a video as a profile picture will be recognizable from the website by the presence of a camera icon on the top right corner of the photo.
By clicking on this icon you can see the video profile, otherwise not.
