Add another taskbar to the Windows desktop

As already explained some time ago, for those who use large and quite large monitors, it is better to move the Windows desktop toolbar sideways, removing it from the default position at the bottom.
In this way, vertical space is gained for programs and windows and the bar with icons and the taskbar can be kept on the right or left edge, which is practically unused by open programs.
Having, however, less space for icons (the vertical bar is shorter than the horizontal one), it may be desirable to add another application bar to the desktop, perhaps positioned on the opposite side where the main one is.
This second bar can become an additional favorite program launch pad, which is also useful for cleaning up the desktop background from clutter.
Adding another toolbar on Windows is still impossible if you are not using an external program.
This program, which I have currently decided to leave on my computer, is called Linkbar, it is free and open source, very simple to use and very effective.
This Windows tool adds a simple taskbar, practically identical to the default Windows one, even if without the Start menu button, without the time and without a taskbar.
This bar is only the space to add program launch icons.
Linkbar must be run in order to choose whether the taskbar will be available to all users or only the current user.
After that, you will have to select a folder to link to the toolbar (i.e. the folder where the links will be copied).
You can choose any folder or create a new one in C:.
This will create an empty taskbar located at the top of the desktop, which will be ready for use.
To add shortcuts to the newly created task bar, you can drag icons from the desktop or you can right-click on the bar and then on New Shortcut .
By pressing the right mouse button on the Linkbar bar you can open the options and then decide how to color it or make it transparent, the dimensions and then if you want to be retractable or fixed, the side from which you start to fill icons, then also the margin and whether to display the text in addition to the icons.
From the properties you can also choose the position to move it to the right or left side instead of holding it up.
If you want to create yet another bar, you can right click on the one you just created and then click on Create Linkbar .
you can then add up to 4 toolbars on each side of the desktop.
Linkbar is the best program for adding two bars in Windows 10, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
If we want to find alternatives we can refer to dock bars like Rocketdock and programs to create new customized detachable toolbars
