It seems easy to find videos on the internet but only if you limit the search to a website or without wanting to go to the bottom. If you think of watching funny videos, music videos or sports or soccer videos or taken from cinema and TV, the first site to look for is YouTube which represents the largest online video resource on the internet .
But, if you want to search for popular videos and find all the videos on various YouTube- like sites like DailyMotion, Yahoo Video, Vimeo, Metacafe, MySpace, MyMovies, Livestream, Facebook, you have to use another type of site.

To search for a particular video or to find the most viewed and most recent videos, there are other websites or search engines among which the best are:
1) Yahoo Video allows you to search online videos with aggregate results from various sources, including Vimeo, YouTube, Bing, DailyMotion, Metacafe and others.
On the left you can set a filter to select videos based on the source and duration of the videos.
The videos can be viewed directly from the Yahoo website.
2) Bing is similar to an old site called Truveo (which no longer exists today) which allows, for each search, to select the films based on the source they come from, which can be Youtube, Vimeo or other.
Unfortunately, since there is no only Italian version, the sources are only the classic international multimedia portals and not the Italian ones.
3) Blinkx is finally another search portal that divides videos into categories.
Any movie published on one of the aggregated sites can be searched from the search bar.
4) Google Video is, of course, a search engine that prefers the results of Yahoo but which, for some keys, can also find out from many other sources including the Rai and Mediaset, Dailymotion and Repubblica, Youreporter and others sites.
5) Toogles is Youtube with a different, identical graphic, except for the fact that all the extra things are missing besides the videos, therefore without comments, annotations, advertisements etc.
