Should we always write the www in the addresses of the websites?

To visit a website using a browser such as Chrome or Firefox, usually just type in the navigation bar, only the main part of the address, without necessarily writing the www.
It is therefore worth finding an answer to the question: is it still necessary to write the www or to omit it "> meaning of Internet addresses (URL), network protocols and ports .
So why can you visit a site without even writing the www?
Because most web servers are configured to redirect the address without prefix on the site with the www.
For the convenience of users and to keep the structure of a site well organized, most companies and organizations set up a rule to match the website address with the host name of the web-server machine on port 80 (the "port web ").
This however is not an obligatory choice and it can happen that a site has different prefixes only for a different aesthetic or functional choice, such as, for example, ww2.pippo.com, blog.pippo.com, m.pippo.com and so on .
There are also sites that use addresses that go against any convention to create a word of complete meaning, but they become easy to remember like, for example, will.i.am
Although it is becoming less and less necessary to include ' www ', as some sites still require it, it is always better to include it when writing a URL in the browser's address bar and when saving a site to favorites.
