When your computer is well configured and optimized, automatic Windows updates are sufficient to keep your operating system updated and therefore not subject to the numerous security problems recognized by Microsoft. The best way to update Windows automatically, but without resorting to Microsoft's Windows Update online service is by using the Windows Update Minitool program, which allows you to download Windows updates manually, without going through the Windows Update.
The program can also download patches and updates to a USB stick and allows you to update Windows systems without needing to be connected to the Internet. Windows Update Minitool is free, simple to use, for all versions of Windows, including Windows 7, Windows 10 and server versions. Updates are downloaded to a special folder. If used on a PC that is not connected to the Internet, the Updater (performed by a USB stick) determines which updates are missing and their download can then be carried out from another PC and then reported, again using the same USB stick, on the computer to be to update.
Another program, perhaps better and more complete, also updated in 2019, is WSUS Offline Updater, with all the patches and updates of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 .

The best thing is that, once you download a package of updates, you can then choose which ones to install and which not with an easy menu and above all all languages are supported, including Italian . You can also choose to download and install only the security patches, which are the most important ones. The ISO image with the latest updates can be opened with Daemon Tools or similar programs, without having to burn a CD.
