Dropbox is a truly exceptional service, one of the most used in the internet world and among the most appreciated all over the world. Dropbox is one of the many sites where you can upload files to the internet so you can reach them from your mobile phone or other computers.
What makes DropBox a unique and popular service is the fact that there are many different types of uses, plugins and related services that take advantage of Dropbox's online space to do other things.
For example, I wrote in another post how it was possible to use DropBox to listen to music online, publish photo galleries on the internet and create websites.
Having said that an account on Dropbox is mandatory for anyone, even in parallel with similar services, we see in this article how easy it is to upload files to Dropbox by sending them to your account even without the Dropbox application and without accessing the site.
Many times you find yourself in the situation of having to receive a file from a friend who doesn't use Dropbox and doesn't even know what it is.
Even if you need to upload files from other computers or from your smartphone or iPhone on the fly, it can be useful, to do it first, to use one of these online services with which you send files to a Dropbox account without using Dropbox .
Each of these ways concerns a web application that requires, only the first time, authorization with your login credentials to the Dropbox account.
1) Send To Dropbox is one of the ways to upload or receive files via Email or via the web on DropBox .
An email address is then created whose attachments will be uploaded to Dropbox.
You can use it alone to send files from mobile or other computers via email or you can give the email address to other people.
There aren't many options, but you can control where the files are to be saved.
Whoever sends the file doesn't need to be registered with Dropbox or know what it is.
2) DROPitTOme is instead a way of sending files to Dropbox via the web, creating a personalized link to which others can be connected to upload online data which will be placed in a folder on Dropbox's internet.
You can set a password to use this URL which becomes a personal web page which can be accessed to upload files only knowing the password.
Note that in addition to your Dropbox credentials, you will have to create a separate account. DROPitTOme requires the registration of an additional account in addition to authorization on Dropbox.
It is not possible to create folders or organize files that are all sent to the same folder on the online hard disk.
3) Save is an online service to download files from the internet directly to Dropbox, Skydrive, Box or Google Drive.
Just paste the link on the text box and proceed with the authorized download in your cloud storage account.
4) //www.urldroplet.com is a way of uploading files downloaded from the internet, directly to Dropbox, without going through the computer and without an application (similar to the number 2 SideCloudLoad)
URL Droplet allows you to directly download a link in Dropbox from any computer or mobile phone.
Just copy and paste the download link (right mouse button -> copy link) and click the Save button (after authorizing in Dropbox).
The files are saved in the main Dropbox folder, and this cannot be changed.
