Download VLC for iPhone and iPad to watch all kinds of videos

VLC for iOS is what iTunes should have been, but that isn't.
Precisely for this perhaps this application has really struggled to see the light on the iTunes store rejected by Apple and finally approved now and available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
VLC makes up for all the shortcomings of the default media player of an iPhone or iPad and allows not only to watch videos and films of all formats and also to open multimedia files directly from Safari.
VLC for iOS is the same application that can also be used on Android devices, it plays all video file formats including even less standard ones such as MKV, FLV and OGG and FLAC audio files .
With VLC you can forget about iTunes to transfer videos to your device from your computer.
VLC circumvent iTunes' obligation to pair the device with the PC via Wi-Fi file transfer.
from the VLC menu you can use the Wi-Fi Upload function, to see the address of the iPhone or iPad of the type //192.168.0.x .
As long as the computer is on the same network as the iOS device, you can upload the files by visiting the URL in the PC's web browser and dragging the files from the Windows windows.
VLC for iOS also supports file transfer via FTP, HTTP and Dropbox and Google Drive cloud storage.
You can also open an online media file using Safari, and then using the Open in ... option.
In this case, however, you have to wait for the video to be downloaded and there is no progress bar to see how much is missing in the end.
With VLC for iOS you can also access streaming videos that are on uPnP (DLNA) servers .
No configuration is required, just connect to the same network and open the network stream.
VLC for iOS does not support streaming video from the internet, HTTP, FTP, RTSP, RTMP and MMS, for which a different app is required (see at the end).
As in the Android version, VLC on iPhone and iPad supports finger gestures to increase the volume (left and right), to start and stop playback and to change the brightness of the screen (up and down).
VLC for iOS also allows you to change contrast, playback speed, slow motion or accelerated from 0.25x to 4x, stop the video when you press the Home button and capture it from where it was left, subtitle support.
VLC for iOS can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store and is an excellent app for watching videos on iPhone and iPad, excellent for transferring files from PC to device.
