Restart Android if the mobile phone or tablet seems dead

There are two cases where the Android phone or tablet stops working: it no longer turns on after keeping it unused for some time or it doesn't start after making changes to the system, unlocking Android with the Root or changing ROM.
There are several ways, depending on the model, to fix your cellphone or tablet if it isn't broken inside.
It is therefore worth seeing all the possible procedures to restart an Android smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy, HTC One or any other or even a tablet such as the Galaxy Note or the Nexus 7 that seems dead and does not turn on normally anymore.

It is difficult, unless there are falls or ruinous impacts, that a mobile phone or tablet will break from the hardware point of view before the two or three years of operation.
If Android doesn't start there are some procedures to unlock it, restore it or reinstall it from scratch, even if it seems completely dead.
To fix a device that looks dead there is no valid procedure for all models, you have to search the internet for the solution.
The Italian Androidiani forum is a nice starting point, but even better, for those who can read in English, it is the XDA Developer forum to do searches on Google with English terms such as " Fix Android Bricked in Samsung Galaxy S5 " which means precisely " fix Android stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S4 ".
But first you can try the following procedures.
1) If the tablet or smartphone does not turn on and does not even seem to recharge, you can try the procedures indicated by Google in the Nexus 7 guide.
In particular, it is said to connect the charger to the Nexus, hold down the power button and then, when the screen turns on, also press and hold the Volume down button.
Press the volume down and scroll through the options to turn it off, disconnect the charger and then reconnect it.
If that doesn't work, try connecting your tablet or mobile phone to the original charger (not from your computer's USB) for about an hour, then quickly unplug and reconnect it and turn it back on.
2) Recovery from Recovery mode
As already written in the article on how to reset and restore Android even if the mobile phone or tablet does not start, there are various ways to enter recovery mode or bootloader.
It can be pressing and holding the UP button and the power button together for 5 or 10 seconds, the volume Down key and the power button or the Home button with the power button and so on.
Search on Google how to recover for your smartphone or tablet and look at this blog to find how to turn on your model in Recovery or bootloader mode.
Keep in mind that each model has its own way to access it in Recovery mode and it is not possible that it is not there.
3) If you can't do it with the buttons, try recovery with your computer .
Then connect the mobile phone or smartphone to the PC via the USB cable that is used for charging and follow the procedure described in this guide (in English but the clearest and most complete).
At this point, from the recovery console you can use the volume keys to search for the option of factory reset or factory reset .
If you have rooted your Android phone or tablet, you have installed the Clockworkmod recovery console from which you can perform the factory reset.
If this does not bring results, with the Clockworkmod you can install a new ROM from scratch, that is a different version of Android certainly working.

From the ClockWorkmod console, wipe the cache and data (Wipe data means delete data) and then, in the advanced menu, also dalvik cache .
With the install zip from sdcard option you choose the Zip file of the ROM to be installed that was previously downloaded from the computer and copied to the SD card.
If the phone still does not start correctly, try again at least once more making sure to do all the resets that the console allows.
If none of the previous solutions seems to work, in the event that the phone is not really dead but still starts in the recovery console, it may be the fault of the damaged SD card that needs to be changed.
Another cause of a dead cell phone is the charger which can be ruined; so try also to use another one.
I want to say that, unless in very rare cases, if the screen still lights up, even if the smartphone or tablet is not working, then the situation is repairable and recoverable.
If, on the other hand, the mobile phone is really dead and the scharmo does not react to anything, then we are in trouble and it is very likely that there is a hardware defect that can only be repaired in technical assistance (by replacing the piece).
