Try Windows 10 on an Android tablet or iPad

Windows 10, the new Microsoft system, works well on PCs and even better if installed on a tablet, thanks to its optimized touchscreen controls and applications.
If you don't want a normal tablet and you will have to wait before having a Microsoft Surface computer or other compatible models.
If you don't have a touchscreen monitor you can still get an idea of how it makes Windows 10 on a tablet using virtualization software and a special remote connection application to use on an iPad or an Android tablet.
What you need is a copy of the installation disc, downloading Windows 10 for free from the official links.
After downloading the ISO, you must install Windows 10 on a virtual machine using the free VirtualBox program (but you can also use VMWare or another virtualization software).
The idea is to install Windows 10 on your computer via VirtualBox software and then connect to the virtual machine from your Android tablet or iPad and use Windows 10 in touchscreen mode.
All this applies unless you have already installed Windows 10 as the main operating system on your pc.
Obviously you also need an Android tablet such as the Galaxy Tab or an iPad and install the free Splashtop application, which allows you to connect remotely to a computer on the network.
Splashtop is free for Android and iPad.
After installing Windows 10 on VirtualBox or if you have already installed Windows 10 on your PC, you need to install the Splashtop Streamer program on it which allows you to connect between the Android tablet or iPad and the computer.
Splashtop is very easy to use and only requires a registered account with a valid email address.
In addition to this, you must also change a setting in VirtualBox to make sure that the virtual machine can be reached on the network from the connection with Splashtop.
Then click on the VirtualBox menu, enter the settings and, in the network section, check the Bridged Adapter box.
This setting takes effect immediately and you will not need to restart the virtual machine.
Then install the Splashtop application on the tablet, log in with the username and password of the account and connect to the Windows 10 PC which should appear in the list of hosts.
The nice thing is that you can work on the computer desktop without a mouse and keyboard, and try the touchscreen controls on the tablet screen.
Although the experience can never be the same as that obtainable with a real Windows 10 tablet, it is still possible to use the Start screen from the touchscreen of the tablet and notice how many of the operations work well.
Splashtop is a very powerful app to use any computer remotely and supports many finger gestures to perform various operations.
You can access a keyboard by tapping the arrow button in the corner of the screen and tapping the keyboard button.
In some cases, it may be necessary to enable Trackpad mode to access some features, such as using the corners of the Windows 10 screen.
The virtual machine and the remote connection can diminish the performance of the computer, slowing down the interface and making it feel a little jerky.
However, there remains an interesting test, which gives an idea of how you can use Windows on a tablet and how Windows 10 works well and better than if used by a normal PC .
