Location and location based reminders on Android and iPhone

Reminders on mobile are very useful for two reasons, because they can be recurring and because they are capable of being intelligent and remind us of things not only on the basis of the date as normal, but also when we are near a certain place, on the basis therefore to our position.
For example, you can set a reminder to remind us to buy milk every time you pass under the bar near the house or to buy a buffalo mozzarella every time you pass near the shop that has it good, to pick up the dress in the laundry room and so on.
Location-based reminders can be set on both iPhone and Android without installing anything or using special applications.
On an iPhone, location-based reminders are included in the Reminders application already installed on the phone .
You can create a reminder in two ways: in a list related to "work", "home", "animals" etc. or independently, without being placed in a category.
To create a list touch the + sign next to the " Add list " tab while to create a general reminder, go to the " Reminder " tab and touch the screen on the first empty line.
Once you have written a title, tap on the "i" on the right to enter the screen where you can connect the reminder to a position.
Activate the "Remember location" option and tap on the line below for location.
From here you can search for an address or enter a specific one.
Once you have found the right position, touch it and select when you want the reminder notice: when you arrive or when you leave the indicated place.
You can also change the distance to receive the report by touching the black dot on the circle that appears on the map and dragging it to the required distance.
After saving this reminder, the next time we are near that location, the phone will let us know.
On any Android smartphone, without using applications and also on iPhone if the Google app has been installed, you can use the Google Now reminder function .
Then open the Google app or swipe your finger from the bottom up on the screen of the Android smartphone and activate, if not yet done, the Google Now cards.
Swipe your finger from left to right to open the side menu from which you can find the reminder function (if you want you can also use the voice saying first Ok Google and then Reminder ).
Then create a new reminder by tapping the + button, write a title and then, instead of choosing a time, tap on place.
Finally, tap on the row below to set the position that should trigger the alert.
Only on Android can you also set a location-based reminder with the Google Keep app.
From the Google Keep side menu, choose the reminder function and add a new one with the + key.
Write the title and then tap on the clock icon so you can choose to use a reminder based on the place and not the time or date.
